Editing Weekends

This month we started with Architects which resulted with six new articles, one improved article, and created template by three men. The next was food content focused, called Cheese. That one gathered three Wikipedians who created five articles and improved one article. 16th and 17th was dedicated for Biology and was covered by two users who created two articles and one template. The second-to-last weekend of 2023 was named Chile and was participated by two users who enriched Wikipedia with 12 new articles and one new template. On the weekend of 30th-31st, the designated German Idealism had an outcome of seven new articles that were made by two people.

The outcome in December was 32 new articles, 2 improved articles and 2 created templates.

On December 4, one article was created. On December 7, Nikola and Martin created 15 articles. On December 14, Nikola improved 1 article.

Editing Days

On the fifth day on the month, it happened to be the Wines Editing Day. That time, two people participated and created two articles, one new template, and improved one template. The second editing day was titled Social Titles and one person participated and created one article. On 12th, we covered a literature theme in Works by Honoré de Balzac. That day was conducted by three men with results of seven new articles. Containers was organized on 14th, and five articles got created out of two men. Five days later we held the Paintings by Thomas Cole ED. The editing was consisted of one person who made one new article and one new template. On 21th, Paper products was on and two men participated and created two brand new articles. December 26 was designated for House Types which was comprised of two men who created six articles. On December 28, on the last Editing Day of the month, also year, the Auto Parts ED had results of six new articles made by two people.

The outcome in December is 30 new articles, 2 new templates, and 1 improved template.

Edit-a-thons

On December 5, we held the Physics Edit-a-thon in collaboration with Macedonian Society of Student Physicists. The workshop was attended by 7 new editors who created with the help of the coordinators Nikola and Ivan. During the three-hour workshop, 42 articles were created and one article was improved. The event was held in the premises of the Institute of Physics at the Faculty of Science and Mathematics.

WikiSketch Lessons

On December 6th, from 12:30 PM to 3:00 PM, one person created three articles. Later that day, the same person again translated one article. On December 27, another person created an article. On December 28, a third user created one new article.

WikiVillage

On December 10, this 2023 project edition was finished. On that day, the respective info plaques got installed in Vevčani. Now, the cultural heritage sites and temples are highlighted with QR-coded plaques on -site, and trough a larger plaque positioned in the center of Vevčani portraying the map of this village and their location so easier they could be found.

Wiki Science Competition

From November 1 to December 15, we held our second edition of Wiki Science Competition.

When it comes to outreach, back in December, news of the announcement of the competition were published on Kumanovskimuabeti.mk and Offnet.mk

The contest was comprised of 1,074 files that were uploaded by 39 competitors. 44 people (five people were jurists) in total were part of the contest.

Students Mentorship

On December 20, in the period 11:00-14:30, a workshop was held with students of the Institute of Geography, Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, Skopje. The event was held in collaboration with the PhDs Blagoja Markoski and Marija Ljakoska. Editing was done by 13 editors. In total, there were 20 people at the workshop, including the coordinator Nikola. 24 articles were created and six articles were improved.
