Winter Geoexpedition on Šar Mountain
[edit]On 28th of January, we used the beautiful sunny and clear weather to visit the highest peaks of Šar Mountain. Well equipped with winter mountaineering equipment the group of 5 experienced hikers - members of mountaineering club "Transverzalec" climbed Sin Vrv, Bakardan and the highest Titov Vrv peak in 4 hours and 45 minutes. Exceptionally beautiful, sunny and clear weather provided sights on the entire Šar Mountain massif, as well as most highest mountain massifs in all of Macedonia and this southern part of the Balkans, thus we had a chance to make high-quality images that will be used for creating and improving articles on Macedonian Wikipedia in the forthcoming period. On the way back, returning from this successful venture and day, suddenly passed away our oldest and most experienced member of the expedition - Pero Atanasov, in whose honor and loving memory will be uploaded all of the images and all articles edited will be promoted in the Macedonian public and mountaneering community.
