Wessen Wissen? ist eine globale Kampagne, die das Wissen marginalisierter Gemeinschaften (der Mehrheit der Welt) online bündelt, auch in Wikimedia-Projekten.

Die Benutzergruppe Wessen Wissen? ist offen für alle Menschen – insbesondere diejenigen, die sich als Frauen, LGBTQI-Personen, Menschen aus dem globalen Süden und Verbündete auf der ganzen Welt identifizieren – die daran interessiert sind, systemische Vorurteile in Wikimedia-Projekten anzugehen.

Ziele

Wir sind eine globale Kampagne, die mit Einzelpersonen, Gemeinschaften, Bewegungen, Benutzergruppen und anderen Organisationen weltweit zusammenarbeitet, um Wissen von und mit marginalisierten Gemeinschaften (insbesondere Frauen, Dunkelhäutige, LGBTQI-Gemeinschaften, Indigene und Personen aus dem globalen Süden) zu schaffen, zu sammeln und zu kuratieren.

Aktivitäten

Wir bauen Brücken zwischen Wikimedia-Gemeinschaften, die darauf abzielen, systemische Vorurteile in Wikimedia-Projekten anzugehen, und den Einzelpersonen, Gemeinschaften, Organisationen und Bewegungen weltweit, die marginalisierte Wissensformen besitzen, die Wikimedia-Projekten noch fehlen.

Wir tun dies durch:

  • Mapping von Möglichkeiten und Lücken im Online-Wissen
  • Erfassen von Daten über systemische Vorurteile in Inhalt und Teilnahme an Wikimedia-Projekten
  • Sammeln und Kuratieren von Ressourcen und Werkzeugen zur Bekämpfung systemischer Vorurteile
  • Unterstützung von Pilotprojekten zur Erstellung von Inhalten und zur Teilnahme
  • Einberufung verschiedener Interessensvertreter aus der Wikimedia-Bewegung und von außerhalb
  • Medienkampagnen zur Förderung verschiedener Formen der Beteiligung und der Erstellung von Inhalten

Geschichte

Die Kampagne Wessen Wissen? wurde im Laufe des Jahres 2015 von Anasuya Sengupta konzipiert und im März 2016 zusammen mit Siko Bouterse gegründet. Adele Vrana kam im November 2017 zu uns. Wir bringen eine einzigartige Kombination aus Erfahrungen, Fähigkeiten und Ansätzen zu dieser Arbeit mit: kritische feministische Wissenschaft und Menschenrechtsaktivismus, die sich mit einem tiefen Wissen über Internettechnologien und die Organisation von Online-Gemeinschaften überschneiden. Siko arbeitet seit über 10 Jahren mit globalen Online-Gemeinschaften zusammen, um Brücken zu bauen und Menschen zu befähigen, Wissen zu teilen. Anasuya arbeitet seit über 20 Jahren in Indien, im globalen Süden und international und leitet Initiativen zur Verstärkung von Stimmen 'von den Rändern'. Adele hat Geschäftsentwicklungs- und Partnerschaftsinitiativen geleitet, um dazu beizutragen, pluralistischere und vielfältigere Gemeinschaften in ihrem Heimatland Brasilien und weltweit aufzubauen. Wir trafen uns bei der Wikimedia Foundation, wo wir seit fünf Jahren Einzelpersonen und Gruppen unterstützen, die darauf abzielen, systemische Vorurteile in Wikimedia-Projekten anzugehen.

Im September 2016 wurde die Kampagne Wessen Wissen? öffentlich auf dem Forum 2016 der Association for Women's Rights in Development (AWID) in Brasilien mit 5 Wikimujeres (Wikifrauen) und fast 2000 Verteidigern der Menschenrechte von Frauen öffentlich gestartet. Die Wikimujeres-Delegation wurde von der Wikimedia Foundation unterstützt. Im März 2017 startete sie die Herausforderung #SichtbareWikiFrauen, die von den Koordinatoren Mariana Fossati und May Hachem geleitet wurde, um Bilder von relevanten Frauen auf Wikimedia Commons und Wikipedia zu bringen.
