English:
- Languages: it, en, scn, able to understand a minimum of most of Neolatin languages
- Personal info: I've been a steward for 4,5 years and I'm still fairly active. Dealing with the last year, pro(s): overall communication with WMF and tech guys has improved, some conflicts ended. Con(s): too many fellow stewards left. For the next year I'd like to lower my latency in answering via talkpage(s) (which is significantly longer than email/IRC ones) and to hold my current level of activity. Thank you! --Vituzzu (talk) 22:32, 31 January 2016 (UTC)
italiano:
Grazie! --Vituzzu (talk) 22:32, 31 January 2016 (UTC)

- Remove I'm being seriously harassed by cs.wikisource admins (I was banned indef for posing a harmless question on site rules in a polite way, afterwards the admin who banned me keeps lying and manipulating about it, really no kidding at all, for details see RfC); when reporting this harassment on IRC Vituzzu was literally laughing at me, refusing to do anything about it, I'm unable to draw any other conclusion that Vituzzo supports harrasments by admins --Auvajs (talk) 21:42, 8 February 2016 (UTC)

I would love to belive Vituzzu was caught in a trap. But it does not matter wether he was caught in a trap, at this time, he supports indef ban for NEKIT and harrashemnt, which undermine our community.--Juandev (talk) 22:14, 8 February 2016 (UTC)Grammar correction: I would love to believe Vituzzu was caught in a trap. But it does not matter now. He has no problem with users being banned indef for POINT only and undermines our community.--Juandev (talk) 07:39, 12 February 2016 (UTC) And one more reason to oppose, As can be red lower, his wide IP blocks covering all projects hit also non problematic users. He admints that, he does not have time to repond on his user page. But I am affraid after reading reactions, that such behaviour may led to the loss of users, which is not definitelly our goal.--Juandev (talk) 19:03, 21 February 2016 (UTC)
- @Juandev: There have neither NEKIT, nor Harrashemnt, and nor NEKIT and harrashemnt existing (although an account called Nekit exists, it hasn't any edits, and hasn't blocked), so which account are you asking? yourself? --Liuxinyu970226 (talk) 11:37, 10 February 2016 (UTC)

Weak opposebecause of repeated wide IP range blocks with aggressive options that caused a lot of problems on PLWM toolserver. Weak, as hoping he will apply range blocking more carefully in the future. Ankry (talk) 15:13, 12 February 2016 (UTC)- I'm always sorry to create "breakdowns" but we're targeted by an impressive amount of spam (and various for of abuses, your homewiki project is heavily target by a certain troll using lots of open proxies) and we're really a few overloaded people dealing with it. I've found it's better to fix side effects as soon as they arise: it would be impossible to check ranges, with high probability of being abused, on hundreds of wikis. Currently we lack more effective way to easily fix them but still we do. --Vituzzu (talk) 21:36, 12 February 2016 (UTC)
- I am not contesting your blocks as general. You applied many of them and I appreciate it. I am just suggesting that applying a long term (few years) wide range (/32) IP(v6) blocks that also blocks logged in users is a mistake that should not be repeated. Ankry (talk) 10:04, 13 February 2016 (UTC)
- Yep, I see your point but most of AS have /32 subnets and lots of abuse come from registered accounts (namely spam and long-term abusers). Another problem happened with a French ISP which horribly mixes up colo and residential users mislabeling the relevant whois informations! Still what I can guarantee is my best effort to *reduce* this kind of problem + my (and fellow stewards') best effort to *solve* any issue arisen. --Vituzzu (talk) 10:17, 13 February 2016 (UTC)

- Keep - Trusted, active, does good work. - Taketa (talk) 10:46, 21 February 2016 (UTC)
- Neutral I am seriously concerned about the long, sometimes illegitimate IP blocks. Most of the time, it is impossible to appeal the block even as a logged-in user (because they are write-restricted). Vituzzu blocked the whole French ISP “OVH” a few months ago, and a good part of the French ISP “Online” too. I understand the need to fight for spam, but Vituzzu’s talk page is full of request of users illegitimately blocked complaining (which is lucky, considering that, most of the time, these blocks are write-restricted on all wikis). I would like Vituzzu to try and make his blocks less extreme in the future. I am not voting for removal because I feel these are just mistakes that can be improved, especially the latency in talk page, as Vituzzu said! Diti the penguin — 11:15, 21 February 2016 (UTC)
- I guess local admins, can reblock IPes and users right? But the fact its a global block might be problem. Vituzzu advocate this (see above simillar discussion for PL) that there is not enough adminstrators, but local admins and small wiki monitoring team is not enough protection Vituzzu?--Juandev (talk) 18:16, 21 February 2016 (UTC)
- @Diti: I (but also other stewards) usually block those server farms which are not supposed to be used by legit users. It can happen, anyway, people need to use them for a range of reasons (proxies in a shared network, need to use a VPN/VPS, tunnel brokers...) then we have a series of workarounds to let them edit. With Online the bigger range I blocked was listed in the relevant whois as being used for OVH's colo services while a smaller block (afair a /19) was actually assigned to Online's residential customers.
- Those blocks don't affect meta, so anyone caught by them can come here and ask for help. It's still a side effect (I absolutely didn't mean to block xDSL French users). Dealing with answers yep, I hope I can improve latency but most of requests on my talkpage are handled by fellow stewards: this kind of block is pretty "technical" so anyone feels free to change it at any time. --Vituzzu (talk) 19:10, 21 February 2016 (UTC)
