no indication of which LTA this is

Hi JJMC89, I must admit that I like your decisive declines (e.g. [1]), although I was a bit surprised. Why not ping the users and ask for additional information (as discussed in Talk:Steward requests/Global/Archives/2024#The state of SRG) before declining?

That's what I intended to do with those requests as soon as all the other requests have been cleared. On the other hand the reports can of course simply be submitted again with more information if the accounts really should be locked, so the declines shouldn't be a big issue. Briefly skimming through some reports you declined: These accounts [2][3][4] appear to be related to this spam [5][6][7], although I would need more time to look into this (and of course don't want to overrule you). Johannnes89 (talk) 19:29, 28 February 2024 (UTC)
See my response to Sotiale's SE2024 question. For new requests, it might be worth pinging the reporter, but I don't think it is worth it for requests that have been there for more than a week (or over a month in some cases). Feel free to action any that I declined for not having sufficient information. I don't consider it overruling me. — JJMC89 23:50, 28 February 2024 (UTC)
Good point, pinging the reporter does indeed make more sense for new reports. Thanks, I've confirmed the three accounts I mentioned to the xwiki spam campaign I mentioned and locked the accounts (along with some others). For the other reports users should just report again if steward action is really needed. Have a nice day --Johannnes89 (talk) 07:20, 29 February 2024 (UTC)
