Recent actions against me by RoyZuo
[edit]Sorry for this comment. Recently RoyZuo did all unethical actions against me to ban me from returning to Wikimedia projects by citing all of my personal information in a comment that I later deleted because the nature of the comment is both unethical and also violating the UCoC. I know that you later reverted its comment, so I am asking the following questions:
- Other than I shall not edit others' comments (except unethical ones that are against the UCoC or the Terms of Use), why you reverted my edits that hide RoyZuo's unethical comment? (I will not revert anything because of the three-revert rule)
- As RoyZuo filed me and said that my actions are doing this cross-wiki, I will do nothing about the disputes after this comment. But if I get blocked here on Meta (as I have followed the Terms of Use and the UCoC, as well as all the dispute resolution processes here on Meta), what should I do? I know that Meta is not an appeals court, but if this situation continues, I think that I have exhausted all the dispute resolution processes followed and the unfair situation continued indefinitely; so shall I report this to the Foundation's T&S Team?
- As I am currently blocked on Commons for the dispute between me and RoyZuo, if I get unblocked there, shall I do all the contributions privately and/or apologize to the community affected?
PS: I am exercising in good faith during the entire dispute resolution process. 〈興華街〉📅❓ 07:35, 3 April 2025 (UTC)
- Hi, I will answer your questions later today. Short answer regarding my revert: "private information" as referenced by the ToU / UCoC is something like your location, email address etc. - this (usually) doesn’t include previous Wikimedia accounts. Please refer to the U4C (via mail or publicly) if you think certain parts of the statement should be removed, they will decide about it. Given that those accounts aren’t private information and that the person you filed the case against should be able to present their perspective, the U4C will most likely agree with my revert. - I think I've answered 1) in yesterday's reply. Answers for questions 2 & 3:
- RoyZuo reported you for repeatedly removing their comment, I've explained why the comment doesn't violate policy and that you should turn to the U4C if you still think the comment should be removed. Given that you didn't remove the comment again, there's no reason to block anyone at this point.
- I recommend to wait and see how the U4C case develops. But as a general advice: Wikimedia projects enjoy a high degree of self-governance. Except for extraordinary situations there is no way for the global community (or stewards) to intervene (that's why the RfC got closed). The U4C is the only community body that would be allowed to act, if there were UCoC violations. But as I already said: Mentioning previous accounts is (usually) not a violation of UCoC/ToU, because it's (usually) not personally identifiable information. Once you've exhausted all your community options (including U4C) I recommend considering if maybe this is simply a case where one has to accept that other people have other opinions. T&S (or any other WMF body) certainly wouldn't overrule the U4C.
- I'm not a Commons admin, you will need to discuss with them how to contribute (and if/how you want to apologize for something) after you're unblocked. Johannnes89 (talk) 15:46, 4 April 2025 (UTC)
- Hi, it's me again. I have just received a threatening comment from RoyZuo after my request to close the U4C case against it. I haven't do anything after that comment, and this is a real personal attack against me. As I said in the reason to close the U4C case, I may consider legal actions if there are such explicit harrasment against me, which I currently do not see. I think RoyZuo's comment are incivil and therefore forcing me, by any means, to leave all Wikimedia projects. At this point, I don't know what and how to do. Please help!

- Citing a policy page / saying they might report (alleged) policy violations to admins is not considered a threat. If they do report something, admins will evaluate independently if the report is correct and if any action should be taken. But generally speaking a U4C discussion should be moderated by U4C members, please complain to them if you feel someone said something in the U4C case that should be removed or if you feel someone disrupted the discussion.
- Please be aware that en:WP:NLT is considered to apply on many Wikimedia wikis. Johannnes89 (talk) 13:41, 14 April 2025 (UTC)
