Copyright and Open Education Resources is a webinar about the principles of copyright law.
During the webinar, the principles of copyright law will be briefly explained so as to understand when one is dealing with a work protected by copyright, the difference between being the author or the owner of a work, and to understand within what limits one can quote or reuse an existing work without having to ask for further permission, particularly in the educational sphere when sharing material with one's students. An introduction to the concept of Open Access will also be given and the role of Creative Commons licences and their essential features will be explained. To make the webinar as practical and enjoyable as possible, many examples will be used and there will be room for questions.
