Indic Wikisource Proofreadthon 2020

CIS-A2K organised 15 days Indic Wikisource Proofread-a-thon from 01 Nov to 15 Nov 2020. This was the second edition of the proofread-a-thon conducted for the Indic Wikisource communities. 204 community members took part from 12 languages Wiki communities.  374 books were selected from the Indian communities to work on during the contest and all the communities followed the rules and scoring system decided by the organisers with the discussion of there community members read more...

Lingua Libre session

CIS-A2K conducted 2 Lingua Libre sessions. One with Linguist group and another was with the student community from Alva's college.  Lingua Libre project is easy for the community and students with many uses.  An online training session was conducted on 6 November between 12 to 1.30 PM  and 10 November between 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM.  Total of 9 community members from actively participated in the session and most of them are regularly contributing to the project read more... & read more...

Online session with Samyak on bridging gender gap

CIS-A2K conducted online training with Samyak, its an organisation based in Pune, working mainly on gender-related issues. With the four people from the organisation, the first introductory session on Wikimedia projects was conducted on 12 November between 3 to 4 pm. The major discussion was on the gender gap with some examples and also discussed on the articles related to transgender/LGBTQ communities read more...

Online meeting of Punjabi Wikimedians

CIS-A2K conducted an online meeting with the Punjabi community on 30 November 2020, where 9 community members took part. During this meeting, CIS-A2K took an opportunity to discuss the upcoming edit-a-tho such as  Wikipedia Asian Month 2020 &  Festive season edit-a-thon.
