in a nutshell: As last year, WMAT, WMDE and WMCH co-designed a common campaign for all three countries, promoting simultaneous local open house events in 18 cities across the region, where interested Wikipedia readers can meet our communities, and learn how Wikipedia & Co. work. In Austria, we were present in 4 cities (last year: 2).
in a nutshell: As a fringe event to our Wikipedia vor Ort event, we joint forces with a local group in Linz, which organizes talks on current topics, the so-called Kepler-Salon. Our Executive Director Claudia Garád prepared a presentation on "Wikipedia and Truth" which then led to a wider discussion with the ~65 attendees, many of them from groups which might know Wikipedia but otherwise do not know much about the Wikimedia Movement or how content is created on the projects.
