Wikimania 2022/Wikimania Festival in Esino Lario - Italy

Wikimania Festival in Esino Lario is a light program of 2-days conferences, gatherings and events. The goal is to enjoy an in-person event during Wikimania, to discuss and exchange among participants and to bring back Wikimania to Esino Lario. Wikipedians and wikimedians will take advantage of the local program of events taking place during the holidays of Ferragosto and they will have the change to attend the online international conferences in a pleasant location. Furthermore some local conferences and a workshop for children will be organised in Esino Lario during the week-end.

Program
	Friday	Saturday August 13th	Sunday August 14th	Monday August 15th
Morning		Festa dell'Alpe di Esino promoted by CAI. A celebration of the mountain shelter Alpe di Esino with walk and barbeque (at the expense of the participants, around 15-20€ without reservation). Wikimania online 9:00-14.00 (7-12 UCT)	10-14 Online Wikimania (8-12 UCT)	11.30 walk to Piazzonaga, where the picnic takes place. Departure from the Alimentari Panetteria Pietro Pensa, Piazza Italia 5, Esino Lario (fairly simple route on a paved road and mule track, about 60 minutes)
Lunch		12.00 Lunch at Rosa delle Alpi for the participants (reservation needed). Pizzoccheri (vegetarian) and Risotto with blueberries and sparkling wine, roast beef with rocket and parmesan with baked potatoes and fruit salad with ice cream. Ristorante albergo Rosa delle Alpi, via Adamello 36, Esino Lario.	12.00 Lunch at Locanda Montefiori for the participants (reservation needed). Caserecce pasta with Esino nettles with porcini mushrooms and salted ricotta, followed by Caprese with hazelnuts and red fruits and English custard. Locanda Montefiori, via Montefiori 33 Esino Lario. Afternoon	Arrival of the participants 16-18 Wikimania online (14-16 UCT) 19.00 Walk to the restaurant. Departure from Locanda Montefiori, via Montefiori 33 Esino Lario (simple itinerary, around 45 minutes)	14-18 Wikimania at Museo delle Grigne 14-15 Welcome session in Italian and visit to the museum Museo delle Grigne with a permanent exhibition dedicated to Wikimania. 15.00 Wikipedia and Vikidia workshop for kids 9-14 years-old 19-22 Wikimania online (17-20 UCT)	14-18 Wikimania at Museo delle Grigne. 14-14.30 Museo delle Grigne. Streaming from Esino Lario which contributes live to the global event Wikimania 2022 online. Presentation in English and visit to the museum Museo delle Grigne. 14-17 Online Wikimania Global festivities (12-15 UCT). 17-21 Online Wikimania (15-19 UCT). 18-22 Teatro dell'asilo. Dinner	20.00 Restaurant Santa Maria in Gromeduccio. Dinner à la carte, at the expense of the participants, around 30€ (reservation needed). Ristorante Santa Maria. Località Gromeduccio. Via Cainallo 20 Esino Lario.	20.30 Dinner in the Piazza del Comune with music and activities for children and families (inflatables), event promoted by Pro Loco and Alpini Esino Lario. Dinner at the expense of the participants, around 15-20€ without reservation.	19.00 Dinner at Bar Pizzeria Oasi. Dinner à la carte, at the expense of the participants, around 25€ (reservation needed)
Evening			21.00 Piazza del Comune. Event organized by Soccorso Val d'Esino. Country music and dance with the team of 700Mt Sopra il Cielo which animated Wikimania 2016.
