Wiki Loves Ramadan (WLR) is an annual international contest organized by the Wikimedia community to document and share Islamic cultures and history from different regions of the world. The contest invites participants to contribute by writing and improving Wikipedia articles related to Islamic culture and history during Ramadan. This initiative places particular emphasis on enhancing Wikipedia content on Islamic topics in various languages, ensuring a diverse and inclusive representation. Each year, the community chooses a new theme that highlights culturally rich and visually engaging topics, encouraging deeper exploration of Islamic traditions and heritage. These contributions also extend to other Wikimedia Foundation project websites.
