Next Diversity Conference
I tried to find information on a next diversity conference but had no success. Do you know if there is a conference in the future? A related question-Is there a WMF staff member or contractor that is assigned the task of addressing diversity? Best Regards, Barbara (WVS) (talk) 12:21, 3 February 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Barbara (WVS). Since the November 2017 Diversity Conference in Stockholm, I haven't heard about plans for the next one. I think many WMF employees address diversity within their roles. For example, I worked with AWang (WMF) on the Gender Diversity Mapping Project. Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions in this regard? --Rosiestep (talk) 16:00, 3 February 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Barbara (WVS). I don't think there are plans yet for another Diversity Conference. In terms of WMF staff focused on supporting diversity, many of us have elements of our work that address this issue. For example, the Support and Safety Team, the Community Capacity Development project, and the Community Health Initiative. However, there is no one person that is currently solely focused on gender diversity. As Rosie mentioned, we are working together on the Gender Diversity Mapping project. I'm also working with several groups of volunteers on developing other gender diversity projects. As we become more aligned to the strategic vision and the idea of knowledge equity, I hope that more WMF staff have the mandate and time to work in this area. I'm happy to chat about ideas you may have. Best, Alex Wang (WMF) (talk) 17:55, 5 February 2018 (UTC)

You get this message because you’ve previously participated in the Community Wishlist Survey. I just wanted to let you know that this year’s survey is now open for proposals. You can suggest technical changes until 11 November: Community Wishlist Survey 2019.
You can vote from November 16 to November 30. To keep the number of messages at a reasonable level, I won’t send out a separate reminder to you about that. /Johan (WMF) 11:25, 30 October 2018 (UTC)

What do you guys and gals do? Commons is turning into a battleground with shrapnel flying left and right, do you deal with that kind of thing too? Alexis Jazz (talk) 12:57, 24 November 2018 (UTC)
