Future changes[edit]

Hi. I don't think that putting the survey in the future changes is a good idea. Until now, I was sure it will start in distant future, and I translate the News. I payed attention that it's already open by mistake, because "future changes" means always "not now", and maybe even many people do not read that part at all. I think there should be one-time section "Survey", just for the survey. IKhitron (talk) 19:37, 4 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

Good point! Added. Thanks! Quiddity (WMF) (talk) 19:51, 4 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

Blue links[edit]

Hi. Sure it's "even for empty pages" and not "even for non-existing pages"? IKhitron (talk) 19:24, 5 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

That seems like a good clarification. Done. Ty! (I imagine there are even more edge-cases/exceptions to that, but we're all used to that!). Quiddity (WMF) (talk) 19:40, 5 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

Clarify term: "Author"[edit]

Hiya! I'm curious about this term, "Author", used in this edition. Is this meant to be a name for programmers, or is it any contributors? EdoAug (talk) 22:22, 5 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hi! I believe all the contributions were code-contributions (so yes, programmers), but I'm not sure if all of the people would self-identify as "programmers" (there might be some designers or translators mixed in??), hence I just used the term "authors" which is what was suggested to me by the manager involved in it.
TLDR: You can translate it either way. Quiddity (WMF) (talk) 23:15, 5 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
That's alright! I translated it as "contributor" while waiting for response (which was very quick!), and it seems like that might be the best for Norwegian Bokmål. EdoAug (talk) 23:48, 5 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
