Create campaigns and add to calendar
Done. —MarcoAurelio 18:18, 17 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Update the javascript for the candidate banner
This needs a fix ASAP as the banner is now running. —MarcoAurelio 18:18, 17 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
The candidate banner which is currently running is fine but the vote banner would be broken because it uses some obsolete stuff. --Glaisher (talk) 16:38, 20 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I have rewritten the voting banner. Can someone review it before it goes live? --Glaisher (talk) 16:59, 23 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Since this page is copied each year, I'll add the documentation here so that it can be modified easily. Look for MIN_REGISTRATION in the voting script and change the year (be sure not to change the timestamp format or it will break). If the cached eligibility result needs to be invalidated (say the criteria was wrong during the elections), COOKIE_KEY can be modified to invalidate cached eligibility result. I've also fixed a longstanding bug with the rewrite but still no reviews so I don't know whether a new bug has been introduced. :/ --Glaisher (talk) 15:57, 7 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Review and publish the translations for the banners
See [1] and [2]. Some of the translations last year were not published. :-/ --Glaisher (talk) 17:44, 29 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Published the remaining ones. —MarcoAurelio 18:18, 17 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Update the election counter

Was updated already. --Stryn (talk) 18:41, 29 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Does not show any candidate for me. —MarcoAurelio 12:21, 7 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Make an edit notice for Template:Stewards/Elections 2016/Voters/Check to explain how the checking works: two years ago checks copied over stuff from the vote pages, moved users manually between the sections, etc.

Like MediaWiki:Editnotice-10-Stewards-Elections 2015-Voters-Check? --Stryn (talk) 18:41, 29 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Moved to MediaWiki:Editnotice-10-Stewards-Elections 2016-Voters-Check. Template protected to edit=autoconfirmed, move=sysop for one month. —MarcoAurelio 12:19, 7 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Translations

[edit]
Done. —MarcoAurelio 12:22, 7 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Get all CentralNotice translations from last year back Stewards/Elections 2015/Translation/CentralNotice / Stewards/Elections 2015/Translation/CentralNotice / etc.
This shouldn't be needed. We created a banner with generic wording without including the year so it can be reused. --Glaisher (talk) 15:51, 25 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Import all translations from 2014/2015, whether they use Special:Translate or sth else, changing dates where appropriate. Keep possible time change in mind. Remember to change dates for writing systems not using Arabic numerals too!!! - yeah how do I even recognize them?
Stewards/Elections 2016 - reuse 2014/2015 (Special:Translate, see the "Translate this page" link at the top of the page)
Guidelines page - reuse 2014/2015 (Special:Translate, see the "Translate this page" link at the top of the page)
Introduction at the top of the election page - reuse 2014/2015 (Special:Translate, see the "Translate this page" link at the top of the page)
Introduction at the top of the confirmation page (click here to translate)
This should be converted to the Translate extension, instead of the JS-nonsense. --MF-W 01:27, 9 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Done by Base. How about Template:Steward election status, should we convert it to use the Translate extension as well? --Stryn (talk) 17:52, 11 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Steward election status (click here to translate)
I'm doing the Translate extension stuff. Crazy stuff. Really. I don't know why no one has bothered to create a template page which can be reused each year instead of this copy-pasting each year. --Glaisher (talk) 15:51, 25 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
+1, let's do it before the 2017 elections. Because I've seen from your contributions that it's really crazy and makes no sense to do the same stuff every year. Thanks for you work with translation stuff! --Stryn (talk) 16:24, 25 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I've finished importing the translations for SE2016, Guidelines and Introduction pages and the status template. I've also changed the year for languages which uses non-Arabic numerals where I could find manually as the script couldn't detect them. Would appreciate it if someone could review it. --Glaisher (talk) 17:38, 29 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
