- Personal info: Hi, everyone. I am pleased to participate again of Steward's confirmations. I was elected in 2012 and have been active since then. I keep locking accounts, globally blocking, checkusering IP addresses, deleting pages, which I believe to be the areas on which I spend the most time. I also participate of internal discussions and meetings, whenever I can. I am not really fond to changing rights and renaming, and some can probably find too few of them made by me.
As a private life perspective, last year was crazy to me for I have increased the ammount of work on my career. I wouldn't like to promise to be more active, but it is very likely that I will as I am moving (again) to another city in February and reducing my working hours, so probably be up for spending more time on Wiki.
I feel I am still useful for community performing this actions. I hope you agree and would be happy to help another year on this role. Thank you for participating.—Teles «Talk to me ˱C L @ S˲» 14:58, 21 January 2018 (UTC)

Gracias por participar.—Teles «Talk to me ˱C L @ S˲» 14:58, 21 January 2018 (UTC)

- Remove This user was responsible for what was probably the largest turmoil among Portuguese community so far, which started with a clear defamation and abuse of power. That was not an isolated case, though. He systematically abuses and harasses anyone who disagrees with him, mostly through spreading lies and/or false claims, removing perfectly normal comments, asking for nonsense blocks and/or wrongfully blocking that person. This pattern of behavior is clearly intended to stress out that person for months, forcing him/her to quit Wikipedia or get so desperately angry to the point he/she may give him a verbal pretext to force a block. JMagalhães (talk) 14:38, 8 February 2018 (UTC)
- @JMagalhães: Any proof of this? --Rschen7754 15:47, 8 February 2018 (UTC)
- @Rschen7754: Sure, just tell me what kind of proof you think it will be fitted to this tiny space. As any sysop is aware, LTA cases require substancial amount of evidence to prove. JMagalhães (talk) 16:19, 8 February 2018 (UTC)
- @JMagalhães: I can tell you that generally accusations like yours without evidence will be ignored when the stewards make the final decisions as to who is confirmed. And you will not convince any voters with this sort of mud-slinging. --Rschen7754 19:23, 8 February 2018 (UTC)
- @Rschen7754: I will ask again: what kind of evidence are you expecting in this tiny space? LTA cases involving harassment, defamation and stalking are complex and require hundreds of diffs and extensive context. So, my question was honest: although I won't turn this page into an huge arbitration request I can post smaller bits. What exactly do you need? Proof that he systematically blocks people who disagree with him and in cases he is involved, for nonsense reasons? Proof that he constantly requests blocks for nonsense reasons just to harass other people? Proof that those blocks and requests are systematically considered wrong or denied by other sysops? Proof that he used his tools to hide extensive evidence of a currently banned sockupupeteer and troublemaker just because he happened to harass and stalk the same users as him? Proof that he constantly removes and reverts perfectly acceptable comments from people he stalks just to annoy them and spark a negative reaction to force a block? Proof that he spams nonsense, disgusting and unsubstantiated sockpuppetry accusations of people who disagree with him? Proof that most of this is harassment is shared by a tag team? Proof of insulting or offensive comments whenever he doesn't get other sysops to do what he wants? So, please tell me exactly what kind of evidence do you need in this limited space. JMagalhães (talk) 21:19, 8 February 2018 (UTC)
- Exactly: a proof. Any of the above would be a good start. --Vituzzu (talk) 21:42, 8 February 2018 (UTC)

- @Vituzzu: This is just another wikihounding that can be easily detected. If you just check this silly request, you will find the first two users again against me. I have already ansered to many of these false allegations and was a victim of their unproven attacks many times. I have not enough time for not to move on. It's a long and complex case. Jalexander-WMF is totally aware of it and has my full authorization to disclose it to community if he wants. The reason I didn't was in order to respect the private of the case as requested.—Teles «Talk to me ˱C L @ S˲» 18:29, 20 February 2018 (UTC)

He supported some other contributors attacking very important contributors through SuSa and other contacts from our international community and WMF. IMHO he is not a good name to keep as steward. - Keep What I said above for RadiX applies even more strongly to Teles, who has suffered the same if not more. I will reiterate it because it is important and should not be missed by people coming to Teles and not RadiX. Being painfully aware of the issues of ptwiki, I believe that Teles's behavior has been above and beyond what is expected of any Wikimedian. Moreover, I feel that the WMF has not supported the projects as vigorously as they could have. Although I understand their desire for caution, I feel that Teles, among others, has been allowed to be improperly attacked by certain elements and I want to make it absolutely clear that from my perspective and experience, wearing all of my hats (local admin, bureaucrat, CU, OS, on various projects for a decade and a Steward for over seven years), that Teles's behavior is not the problem here and that people should feel comfortable judging him on his actions and not judge him on unsubstantiated innuendo and possibly outright misrepresentation. -- Avi (talk) 22:42, 8 February 2018 (UTC)
- Keep This is not the place for a long debate or discussion about situations that involve a lot more people then just Teles (and involve others much more then they involve Teles in my mind). As someone who has been watching (and far too often in the middle of) the Portuguese Wikipedia situation(s) for a while now I can say that I have not seen any clear evidence that Teles is acting maliciously or systematically harassing, stalking or defaming anyone. Have there been things that he's said or done that I don't think were best? Sure. But that is always the case especially when the situation is stressful and emotional and it is easy to second guess someone looking backwards with the benefit of time. Despite multiple sanctions being handed out (which have not necessarily been very successful so far) none of those sanctions have been against Teles for a reason. I still have confidence in his ability to be neutral and a spectacular Steward (so much so that, in a process I oversee, we just appointed him to the Ombudsman Commission for the coming year). There is no doubt in my mind that he should continue to be a Steward and that it would be a huge loss to the community if he was not confirmed. Jalexander--WMF 00:31, 9 February 2018 (UTC)
