SecurePoll

My apology when I am at the wrong place but I am looking for info about SecurePoll. I have asked a question here Talk:SecurePoll but there is no response (yet). What is the best place to get more info about the use of SecurePoll on other Wikipedias? The Banner (talk) 12:32, 28 August 2018 (UTC)

Maybe at mw:Extension:SecurePoll, where you can find the technical details of the extension. I see some replies already at Talk:SecurePoll. Regards, —MarcoAurelio (talk) 15:23, 28 August 2018 (UTC)

Semi-protected edit request on 11 January 2019

Not done (Very large Duplicated ER removed, was already declined in the proper forum, MediaWiki talk:Autoblockedtext). — xaosflux Talk 15:48, 11 January 2019 (UTC)

@Xaosflux: Why. I should post this on Meta:Babel, but due of semi-protection only autoconfirmed users can edit it. I demanded updates in MediaWiki:Autoblockedtext. :( 2A02:2F01:620F:3D00:C899:2702:F8B1:3E6E 15:54, 11 January 2019 (UTC)

It was being vandalized, I've unprotected the page if you would like to start a discussion. — xaosflux Talk 15:49, 11 January 2019 (UTC)
@Xaosflux:. This pattern of unclear EPs have been happening all around meta for today. I feel something is weird somewhere. --Cohaf (talk) 15:51, 11 January 2019 (UTC)

Proposing a new OAuth consumer denied, though I am a confirmed user

I'm trying to create a new OAuth consumer for an app targeted at an editing team, but when I visit the propose special I get the message:

Unauthorized

You do not have permission to propose new OAuth consumers, for the following reason:

The action you have requested is limited to users in one of the groups: Autoconfirmed users, Confirmed users.

I have long been confirmed on en.wikipedia; on meta I have confirmed my e-mail address, and even removed, re-added, and re-confirmed it in case something was in a halfway state, but to no avail. Can anybody suggest a way forward? Thanks!

Poorlyglot (talk) 20:15, 14 January 2019 (UTC)

@Poorlyglot: you are not autoconfirmed here as you are short on the edit count.  — billinghurst sDrewth 22:11, 14 January 2019 (UTC)
@Billinghurst: thanks for the tip. I'm new on Meta and haven't found any documentation of what the edit count threshold is here, but I will do more edits and see if that helps. — Poorlyglot (talk) 16:16, 16 January 2019 (UTC)
Edit count is 5. Cheers.--Cohaf (talk) 16:18, 16 January 2019 (UTC)
@Poorlyglot: Comment Comment It is reasonably recent change. I did go to add it to Meta:autoconfirmed users however that is a redirect. So I looked at the target page and that was problematic to edit, especially as it is a more generic wikimedia page. I have suggested changes at Talk:Registered user‎‎, though still thinking about removing the redirect and building a short page. In my suggested text change there is a link to the config file that shows the counts for all wikis (though that may be too geeky).  — billinghurst sDrewth 21:21, 16 January 2019 (UTC)
And we need to review User groups at the same time, which also couldn't be simply updated.  — billinghurst sDrewth 21:30, 16 January 2019 (UTC)
@Billinghurst: @Cohaf: thanks for the assistance. I made the required edits and am now allowed to propose consumers.

Is there a possibility, that these policies can be changed?

Recently i just give some thought's about how the "Wikiversity environment" can be improved .I did find some technical Needs, but sadly they are connected with "policies" .And tech team can't put there hand's on proposals that have unresolved policies .

So my question is, Is there a possibility, that these these policies can be changed?

If so ,then could you please comment some insight there before 11 November. Thanks in advance--MASUM THE GREAT (talk) 15:03, 9 November 2019 (UTC)

Which specific policy / policies are you referring to and on which language wikiversity? Feel free to ping me or leave a message on my talk if you'd like to discuss. I'll try to help if I can. --mikeu talk 00:13, 12 November 2019 (UTC)

DeadEnd wikiProjects

Hello If in a wiki project(except En) Most/all of its members or moderates has Been Supporter of a side in political issues and in continue articles in that project all became Far from Wiki Laws And biased And in act, all possible ways to change it become no-usable _ moderates delete others who dont follow theirs paths or lock articles in obvious contrast _ Is there a way to wiki foundation group include trustees or what else Come into a process and judge between two Groups? - By providing proofs of weak side to judge and turn back wiki to its Trail. Like, allowing to sides in that project have some moderate or ..

Its important Speaking about biased articles in that project which exist needs third power engagement.

I asked this question once of Wikifoundation@info Dear Adrestia Demopoulos guided me to metawiki

For thus purpose (providing proofs) And start a judge Everything is ready Just we need its Judgement All of disobeys Are linked to wiki laws
