User creation log
[edit]Hey, I wondered if somebody could answer this for me. I am creating my own wiki site (click here to view it), and I was wondering how I can create a user creation log, like on wikipedia when a new user is made, it is logged. I hope this is the right page to post this quesiton. :) Thanks! --24.5.250.36 00:20, 9 March 2006 (UTC)
Anonymous user -> unregistered user
[edit]{{editprotected}} As per move discussion, please change "anonymous user" to "unregistered user". Also please consider unprotecting this page. Thanks. 113.197.147.212 23:19, 7 March 2011 (UTC)

Protest page move
[edit]A registered user is not the same as an autoconfirmed user is. Please move this back. Thanks. —Marco Aurelio (Nihil Prius Fide) 14:25, 2 March 2012 (UTC)

Propose replacing section 7
[edit]I propose replacing all of translated section 7 with this text (or a consensual variation)
==={{int:group-autoconfirmed}}===
<!--T:7-->
<translate>This is an implicit rights status automatically allocated to users after a number of days and number of edits, as set for each wiki. The default for Wikimedia wikis is 4 days and zero edits.
A small number of wikis, by consensus, have either extended the number of days (AutoConfirmAge) required to change the status, and/or extended the number of edits (AutoConfirmCount) required.[2]
Users can check their status at each wiki via the links Special:UserRights and the rights affected at Special:ListGroupRights.
For example, these links for Metawiki:</translate>
The current text is old, and is not suitably accurate to cover the differences in autoconfirmed rights. We should also not be needing to update and explain the differences for a number of wikis as a historical matter on a general information page on a general help page. — billinghurst sDrewth 00:56, 15 January 2019 (UTC)
Review required
[edit]Think that it is probably time to give this page a currency review to make sure that we do not reference long old pages or phab requests, and check that our examples and links are still pertinent. — billinghurst sDrewth 05:52, 14 June 2023 (UTC)
A paragraph of this page is not translatable
[edit]The list at the beginning of this page:
is not translatable (experimenting with adding tags around the list didn't work out)
— a little help or a tip will be appreciated :)
