What problem does this solve?
[edit]Often, emails and text-messages are insufficient to attract volunteers. Some volunteers will say "yes" at first, but do not actually come at the D-day.
What is the solution?
[edit]To solve this problem, it is advisable to call all participants, by phone, 3 or 4 hours before the event started to remind them about the event and to ask wether they still have any difficulties regarding the event (e.g. transportation mode, address, equipment etc).
Things to consider
[edit]- The number of participants. This tips only works for an event with less than 40 participants.
- Local culture (people in your culture may not welcome a phone from strangers)
When to use
[edit]- Event with less than 40 participants
