As a Wikimedian, I am excited about the Wikimedia projects because Wikimedia is going to help people to achieve their dreams. Thus, I would like to contribute to the Wikimedia movement.
- I am very keen to make a contribution to the Wikimedia movement. Nevertheless, I am aware of the fact that a good member of the Simple Annual Plan Grants Committee has to be experienced. As a result, I have been actively involved in a variety of campaigns and organizations. With my experience, ability, and knowledge, I am able to perform well in the Simple Annual Plan Committee as a Member, and I think I will definitely bring numerous benefits to the Committee.

I hope I can support grantees to develop better proposals and will share our experience with development and implementation opportunities and hidden dangers. P.S. I am interested in serving on the Simple AG Committee because of my position as a Librarian at Cal Poly Pomona and activity with Art + Feminism and Black Lives Matter Wikipedia Edit-a-thons. I am a educator and teach students how to be critical thinkers about information. In 2014, I began hosting Wikipedia edit-a-thons when I worked at the University of Notre Dame and was the Northern Indiana Wikipedia Ambassador. Now, I am a Librarian at CPP in California and still host edit-a-thons on campus. In addition, I work with faculty on developing Wikipedia editing lesson plans to incorporate into their syllabuses. I teach CPP students about empowerment. I work on a campus that is incredibly diverse. I empower my students to edit to Wikipedia, not only to add more balanced content, but also, to learn about research and writing. Coupled with my professional experience, I have experience serving on selection grant committees in the library profession and believe I can bring valuable experience to this committee and look forward to inspiring more diverse projects with Wikimedia. -- Siarus1074 (talk) 16:04, 27 April 2017 (UTC)

- Becksguy (talk): Nominating myself. I am a founding and current board member of WM-NYC, incorporated in 2009, and have been it's treasurer since 2011. A Wikipedia editor (EN-WP) since 2006, also a OTRS agent for the chapter. I did the successful non-profit IRS 501(c)(3) application for the chapter, all the annual financial reports since 2011, and did much of the 2016 APG request last year. I expect I will do much of the 2017 APG request and all of the budget work. Obviously I recuse myself from the WM-NYC application process. I was an organizer of the Wikimedia Conference USA 2014 in New York City. I am a member of the chapter Metrics and Reporting Committee, which is working on development of more professional level metrics reporting. Also a member of the Safe Space committee, which is working on improving venue conduct policy and practices as well as developing online, staff, and board conduct policies. Most of my energy recently is devoted to chapter work and financial monitoring of the current budget, as well as supporting AfroCrowd, for which I'm the financial sponsor. I also get involved in local Wikipedia events such as meetups and editathons. If selected, I'm looking forward to collaboratively working with the committee to help other chapters, user groups, and thematic organizations to fulfil their missions, and to help those that wish to become affiliated in supporting the Wikimedia mission, especially those that increase diversity. - Becksguy (talk) 00:51, 22 March 2017 (UTC)
