In 2022, there are some major change for the Wikipedia Asian Month compare to previous campaign. All organizor please be remindful for the changes. Major changes include:

  2. We are extending the duration of the campaign to a continues 30 days in November to December. The date of your local campaign can be flexible.
  3. You will receive Barnstars instead of postcards as your reward.

Preparation: Before 29 October 2022

[edit]
  • As an Organizer:
    • Pick a start date for your campaign, count for 30 days as the end date. It should be a continues 30 days within November 1st to December 31st. For example: November 1st to November 30th, November 15th to December 14th would be a good campaign date.
    • Set-up a Wikipedia page for the local campaign in your language, place the page link in this list. You are welcome to use this sample page and make it your own style and language. Your page should include dedicated sample template. You should provide a way to collect contribution of your editors, and describe how will you collect in your local campaign page. It can be simply a Wikipedia page or third party platform that you are familiar with, such as google form.
    • Translate the rules into your language, you are welcome to adjust the rule according to your need.
    • Recruit your local campaign organizing team, we recommend no more than 5 people.
    • On the Programs & Events Dashboard “Wikipedia Asian Month 2022 Campaign Overview”, create a new program titled Wikipedia Asian Month 2022 in {{your region or language}}. Program duration: a continuance of 30 days within November 1st to December 31th.
    • If you discover there is already a local WAM campaign, contact your local campaign organizer, ask if that need volunteers to help reviewing/auditing articles.
    • Around two weeks ahead of the start day, we encourage you posting invitation messages on the village pump, community bulletin board, mailing list, or even make a Site Notice.
      >>> Read more about "how to organize"

    • Starting from today to 20th October (UTC+0), we invite everyone to propose your "focus theme" at WAM2022 Focus Theme Submission Form. There will be 5 theme selected as major editing topic through out the whole campaign. If you wish Wikipedians all around the world to know more and write about your interest, maybe your hometown. Don't miss this chance!
