Wikimedians of Erzya language User Group (Пурнавкс «Эрзянь кельсэ Викимедиянь витнийть-ветийть») is a group of people interested in Wikimedia projects in Erzya language and topics related to the Erzya people, culture and community.
Based on the intention to participate fully in the global Wikimovement and contributes to the main objectives - the free dissemination of knowledge of all languages of the world, the initiative group of editors Erzya decided to register his initiative group.
Objectives
- Promotion of Wikipedia in Erzya language;
- Promotion of topics related to the Erzya language, culture and community, and to the territory of compact residence Erzyans (Republic of Mordovia, Samara region, Nizhny Novgorod region, Saratovkskaya region, Penza region, etc.) in the wiki projects in different languages;
- Promotion of the Wikimedia projects in these areas;
- Cooperating with local authorities, organizations and individuals to receive grants and other materials to promote free knowledge
Activities
- Organizing wikimeetups, seminars wiki, wiki-clubs and so on;
- Organizing article contests, marathons and thematic weeks;
- Joining projects organized and promoted by Wikimedia RU (Wikimedia local chapter in Russia) and promote of their regions of compact residence Erzya population.

Wikipedia at the Erzya language was opened in May of 2008 years. At this point in 5000 it more articles (Statistic). Erzya language Wikisource — 130 pages (Statistic). Administrators Erzya Wikipedia participated in the event «The Finno-Ugric wiki-seminar» (Soome-ugri Vikipeediate koostöö) 2014 (Tartu and Vaskna, Estonia) 2015 (Meremäe, Estonia) and 2016 (Petrozavodsk, Russia) respectively. From May 2016 began to emerge Wikinews in Erzya language.
Also in 2016 Erzya Wikipedia administrators participated in the 10th WikiConference (St. Petersburg) and Wiki expedition «Copper Capital of Russia» (V-Pyshma, Sverdlovskaya region).
2017: May 1-4 (Tartu, Estonia): MAFUN activists are discussing with Sven Anderson (Wikimedia Eesti) about the future of Finno-Ugric wikipedias. Participation in Dagestan Wiki-Seminar 2017 in Derbent and WikiConference 2017 in Moscow.
2018: In honor of the 10th anniversary of the Erzya Wikipedia, a Wiki-expedition was held to the places of residence of the Erzyans in the Penza region (date June 11-12, 2018). UG EZY representatives participated in Wiki-Conference 2018 and Wikimedia CEE Meeting 2018 in Lviv (Ukraine).
2019: As part of the Wiki-meeting "Erzya language today and tomorrow: why digital technologies are needed in the 4.0_era" in Saransk, a Wiki was held on March 2 and 3 - Expedition around Saransk. uploaded photos on Commons according to the list Monuments of cultural heritage of Saransk. March 29-31, participation in Wikimedia Summit 2019 in Berlin (Germany).
