Implementation Plan

Phase 1: Digitization and Reconstruction

• Identify and gather all available documents and photographs from archives and private collections.
• Restore and scan the material for preservation and digital use.

Phase 2: Upload and Categorization

• Use AI tools to create detailed descriptions and metadata for images.
• Upload the digitized material to Wikimedia Commons with appropriate licensing and categorization.

Phase 3: Content Expansion

• Collaborate with Wikimedia contributors to create or expand Wikipedia pages related to:
  • The Dapples family’s history.
  • Mugello’s agricultural and forestry development.

Phase 4: Community Engagement

• Organize workshops and events to raise awareness about the archives and invite contributions to Wikimedia projects.
• Partner with institutions such as ETH Zurich, the Fotostiftung Winterthur, and the Swiss National Library to enhance outreach.
