Info Session on Wikimedia Basics

WUGN, Akwa Ibom Network organized a one day virtual info session on Google meet, which took place on the 26th of January, 2025. Participants were introduced to the Wikimedia basics, they learnt how to create a Wikipedia account, their user page; and how to contribute to key wikiProjects.

Training on Introduction to Wikipedia

In December, 2024, we hosted an introductory Wikipedia training for our community members. Participants were introduced to Wikipedia, the notability guidelines, primary and secondary sources, etc. Check out the project dashboard here

Wikidata Training

In November, 2024, we organized a Wikidata training. Participants were introduced to Wikidata and were trained on how to contribute. It was a two day training a virtual training to introduce participants to Wikidata and a physical training, to train participants on how to contribute to Wikidata and hands on editing. Wiki Loves Monuments 2024

Wiki Loves Earth 2024

In July, 2024, User: Andikan Efiok Eduok conducted an individual project the Wiki Loves Earth 2024, It was training/uploading session, followed by a photo walk for the Wiki Loves Earth 2024, in Akwa Ibom State, this was our very first project before we became a network. check out the project dashboard here
