Wiki Explores Paschim Bardhaman - Phase I is a two day event to further document some areas of district of Paschim Bardhaman, West Bengal, India. The objective of this event is to do further photo-documentation of the various heritage structures in the said area most of which have less or no presence in Wikimedia commons.

Goal

1. Photograph heritage sites around Asansol, Raniganj, Durgapur, Panagarh, Barakar
2. Upload media for the heritage structures of Paschim Bardhaman in Commons.
3. Create / Update articles about the heritage structures in Bengali and English Wikipedia
4. Create / Update items in Wikidata

Itinerary

• Day 0 - 28th December 2022 (Wednesday) - Depart from Kolkata by Coalfield Express for Asansol town at 17:20. Check into Hotel at Asansol. Night stay at Asansol town.
• Day 1 - 29th December 2022 (Thursday) Cover Raniganj, Durgapur, Panagarh area. Night stay at Asansol town.
• Day 2 - 30th December 2022 (Friday) Cover Asansol, Barakar, Maithon Area. Night stay at Asansol town.
• Day 3 - 31st December 2022 (Saturday) Checkout from Asansol Hotel and depart for Kolkata by Coalfield Express at 07:00
