Deleted RfA
Good evening and thank you for your message. I deleted the RfA page as "nonsense" and notified the newly registered user that probably did not read requirements and policies and, as I specified in the deletions logs, they lack several points, including cross-wiki experience, date of registration, being an active contributor on this project and a valid contact address. Here is the link to the Global account of the user. --M/ (talk) 20:02, 16 September 2023 (UTC)

Hello, is something wrong with usurps? I made a request a month ago and it still hasn't been resolved. But requests below mine are being resolved. —Matr1x-101 (Ping me when replying) {user page (@ commons) - talk} 16:37, 22 September 2023 (UTC)
- Hi @Matr1x-101, Per standard procedure, accounts with valid edits are not usurped. The targeted username has 49 edits on the Finnish Wikipedia, but I am uncertain about their validity. I want to hear from other renamers. —Yahya (talk • contribs.) 11:24, 23 September 2023 (UTC)
- @Yahya: They weren't valid edits, they were mostly vandalism and reverted shortly after. I'm pretty sure there's precedent that vandalism doesn't count as valid edits. —Matr1x-101 (Ping me when replying) {user page (@ commons) - talk} 12:59, 23 September 2023 (UTC)

On August 26, the storm moved across the Amami Islands of Japan, where Rusa left 20,000 people without power and caused two fatalities. Across Japan, the typhoon dropped torrential rainfall peaking at 902 mm (35.5 in) in Tokushima Prefecture. Please be bold and help translate this article! Bhagavata Mela is a classical Indian dance that is performed in Tamil Nadu, particularly the Thanjavur area. It is choreographed as an annual Vaishnavism tradition in Melattur and nearby regions, and celebrated as a dance-drama performance art. The dance art has roots in a historic migration of practitioners of Kuchipudi, another Indian classical dance art, from Andhra Pradesh to the kingdom of Tanjavur. The term Bhagavata, state Brandon and Banham, refers to the Hindu text Bhagavata Purana. Mela is a Sanskrit word that means "gathering, meeting of a group" and connotes a folk festival. The traditional Bhagavata Mela performance acts out the legends of Hinduism, set to the Carnatic style music. It is named for the Zanskar valley or region in Kargil district. It is similar to the Spiti breed of Himachal Pradesh, but is better adapted to work at high altitude. Like the Spiti, it shows similarities to the Tibetan breeds of neighbouring Tibet. It is of medium size, and is often grey in colour. The breed is considered endangered, as there are only a few hundred alive today, and a conservation programme has been started at Padum, Zanskar, in the Kargil district of Ladakh. West Bengal Wikimedians User Group held its 2024 Annual General Meeting yesterday
Hello Yahya/Archive 6!
We are sending you this message as you have signed up as a general member of the West Bengal Wikimedians User Group. We would like to inform you that the user group has organized its 2024 Annual General Meeting of Representative Members yesterday at the Birla Industrial & Technological Museum, Kolkata. In this meeting, we have adopted revised bylaws based on the feedback and suggestions coming from our members (see changes) and selected 10 new Representative Members based on the objective criteria set in the bylaws with regards to their recent or overall online and offline contributions. A new Representative Committee has also been formed while replacing 3 out of 5 members, who have completed their full term tenure for this responsibility. The participants have also shared learning from the projects taken from previous year and shared plans about new projects which they are willing to take during this year on behalf of the user group. We are also introducing a mentorship program from this year, where willing general members can work together with our program leads in user group programs and learn from each other. So, stay tuned for more excitements!
Regards,
Bodhisattwa

Renaming process broken
Hi! Just a heads up, it looks like the renaming process is currently broken - all the recent renames are getting stuck, so I would suggest not processing more renames, until it is fixed. Will open a Phabricator task about it. Regards, EPIC (talk) 09:41, 21 January 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you for the heads up! I'll hold off on any renaming until the issue is resolved. :) —Yahya (talk • contribs.) 09:47, 21 January 2024 (UTC)
- No problem! It seems like the renames have partially gone through, but only on two-three wikis each, and otherwise it still seems to be stuck. The Phabricator task is at phab:T355490 FYI. EPIC (talk) 10:09, 21 January 2024 (UTC)
