Hello Pribellini. Your user (sub)page has been or will soon be deleted according to Meta's deletion policy. Please note that Wikimedia is not a webspace provider, and off-topic material is not accepted here. Thank you for your understanding. — xaosflux Talk 15:18, 13 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hello @Xaosflux, my colleague @Pribellini did an attempt to create her User page on Meta in order to make her contributions and relationship with the community more transparent, that's it. She is a contributor on Wikimedia Commons also, and she is part of a Wikimedia affiliate, Whose Knowledge? Why she can't have a User page here? Regards Mariana Fossatti (WK?) @Mariana Fossatti (WK?) This page may be recreated. User pages should not read like content articles, but may certainly describe how someone will contribute to our projects. For example, your userpage is rather good in this manner - it says who you are, and how you make use of the Wikimedia projects, etc. The page should not be only a general biography of someone, its primary focus should be on how someone contributes. There are not extremely strict rules on this, and more leeway is generally afforded to to established contributors. We do get a constant barrage of non-notable people trying to use our projects for web-hosting of their biographies or in attempt to otherwise self-promote content about themselves - which can be a real problem. For example, you have just republished this page, making it appear to be trying to pass as content about a notable subject, with phrases such as 'she is a ....'. Writing promotional userpages about other people is even less tolerated then autobiographies. — xaosflux Talk 19:39, 16 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
Hi @Xaosflux, the intention here is not trying to create content about @Pribellini biography. It is all about wiki collaboration. If you have an advice of how to do it better, that advice is very welcome, and we'll try to follow the best guidelines for User Groups staff pages. I'd appreciate if you can allow us and support us to continue building the page in the best way, but please consider to not delete the page for a few hours, until we can improve it in the correct way. Thanks! Mariana Fossatti (WK?) (talk) 19:56, 16 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Mariana Fossatti (WK?) That's fine, but indeed please work on it. First, it should be published by the user, not by someone else. It doesn't need to have a lot on it.
User pages are a way to introduce yourself to other contributors and let them know what projects you are working on. Claims of expertise etc have little weight, especially on this project, as (a) they are unverifiable, (b) it doesn't matter if you are a subject matter expert - experts have no special authority. (Note: as of right now it is already much better). — xaosflux Talk 20:03, 16 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
