En.wikipedia is currently locked. Please don't do non-urgent deletions on it.

Dear Acalamari. As you may know, The English Wikipedia is currently locked up for 24 hours as a protest against SOPA and PIPA, so ordinary (non-steward) users cannot do any edits. It seems you have deleted some revisions like w:en:Wikipedia:Usernames for administrator attention/Bot on that project during this time. Even if the software have allowed you to do so, please refrain from doing "normal" administration work on en.wikipedia during the blockout. (Deleting pages or revisions to hide copyrighted content may be okay, if you really know what you're doing, but from the log summary it seems that's not what you're doing.) Be careful. Yes I do know. However, I did not think it would allow me to do it, which was why I chose something that I was going to delete once the blackout was over (the edit summaries in question contained a severe attack against another user). Hi Mbz1, I'm not sure what you want me to correct you on: while I did nominate Gwen Gale for adminship close to four years ago and do consider her a friend, we actually rarely interact with one another and I don't follow her current activities (the same goes for everyone else I have nominated). Looking at your RfC, it seems you're more up to date with her recent work than I am; however, if your aim is to have Gwen Gale removed as an admin, while I can understand you highlighting any potential abuse of the tools, is it really necessary to bring up ancient history? (i.e. her pre-admin activity.)

No renaming between November 20 and November 27

Hi,

You’re getting this because you’re a steward or global renamer. The Community Tech team are working on cross-wiki watchlists. We need to add a couple of fields to the localuser table in centralauth database. In order to be able to do this, we’d need to run a script that will get in the way of renaming users. Our apologies – we realize this is getting in the way of your work.
