Dear @Kippelboy, based on the information available on this meta page, Amical Wikimedia didn't submit their report on-time this year. Compliance with reporting is a condition to be eligible for the Wikimedia Summit. If you want to nominate a representative for the Wikimedia Summit, you need to submit your report before August 1. As soon as we get a confirmation of your eligibility from the WMF, we will update our meta page and the form accordingly so you can move forward with nomination. I am rather surprised to notice that some Chapters (namely Armenia, Canada, Indonesia, Mexico and Venezuela...) appear on the Eligible list while Amical does not. Are Chapters entitled to participate without the same strict conditions since we only are a Thematic Organization? Or is it simply because the version of the list I am currently seeing is not accurate or updated? Thanks for your answers/Merci de tes/vos réponses. Vielen Dank. Moltes gràcies. Dear @Capsot,

The eligibility conditions are the same for all types of affiliates: They need to have been recognized by the Wikimedia Foundation before 30 June 2022 and be compliant on reporting as of August 1, 2023. Based on the latest information shared by the WMF, Amical isn't compliant on reporting. As soon as we receive confirmation of your compliance by the WMF, we will update the list of eligible affiliates for the Wikimedia Summit. Best, Eva Martin (WMDE) (talk) 08:56, 25 July 2023 (UTC)

Albeit, besides Amical's situation which I won't discuss nor debate here since I am not a (current) member of the Board, I was simply stating that the Chapters I named above do not appear to be compliant according to the "latest information" and I was wondering why... Dear @Sandra Hanbo, I see on the Affiliate report portal that Wikimedians of the levant have now submitted their report and are indeed compliant. The list of eligible affiliates for the Wikimedia Summit will be updated on August 1. This delay is due to the high number of inquiries that the WMF is processing at the moment.
