What is APP/AI work?

Thanks for hosting this call! What do you mean by APP/AI work?

Last year we talked about having a regular cadence of community-hosted calls around AI, is this meant to be in that vein or complementary to it? –SJ talk  23:16, 14 April 2024 (UTC)

SJ: I wasn't at that call last year (and Maryana is out), so apologies if I misunderstand your question, but I'd say it's mostly complementary to it. There have been AI-related calls this year too, throughout the the year, related to the work Future Audiences have been doing – not all the AI work going on at the Foundation or within the Wikimedia movement, but some of it. We've (like at this call) been trying to invite other parts of the movement to present at some of these calls, but we can't host community-hosted calls. If everyone is presenting then you might be facilitating and hosting as an institutional part of the global community ;) And it wouldn't be a bad thing to have a shared calendar for such things. But thanks for clarifying and including a wide range of work. I'd still love a definition for "APP/AI", is there a particular app ecosystem people have in mind? –SJ talk  20:53, 18 June 2024 (UTC)
