Model A examples
[edit]I am thinking about individual case examples, after our "CEE Hub Governance - Slovenia" meeting:
- each country with a distinct separate language has 1 vote no matter the number of affiliates
- In this model, each country that has its own unique language would have one vote, regardless of the number of Wikimedia affiliates (such as user groups, chapters, or thematic organizations) within that country. So, it gives equal voting rights to all countries with distinct languages.
- Examples of such countries (distinct separate language with several affiliates) are Russia, Albania, Macedonia, ... they would get 1 vote
- each majority language of a country without an affiliate has 1 vote
- This aspect states that if a country has a majority language but doesn't have any Wikimedia affiliate representing it, that majority language would be given one vote. It aims to ensure that languages without dedicated affiliates still have a voice in decision-making.
- Examples of such countries are : ???
- every language without a majority in one country has one vote
- This point suggests that languages spoken in a country where no single language has a majority should be granted one vote each. It acknowledges the diversity of languages within a country and ensures that minority languages have representation.
- Examples of such countries are : Cyprus, ????
As you can see, not everything is entirely clear to me, and before voting, it would be necessary to create a realistic picture of each option. Pinky sl (talk) 17:14, 29 June 2023 (UTC)
