Correlation very weak

[edit]

Hi Sunir. I'm looking forward to your presentation. I'm honored to be cited in it:-). There's a small inaccuracy:

  • You write: "Brändle's research indicates that controversy is not correlated with quality". Correct is: "...is correlated only very weakly with quality ".
  • You write: "Brändle (2005) measured controversy as simply the intensity of the discussion, and it had no impact on the final quality of the article". Correct is: "...very weak impact on..."

The Correlation from Controversy with quality richness (if the influence of interest and topic relevance is calculated out) is at around r=0.15. This is not much and closely to no influence (1=perfect correlation, 0 =no correlation). So I don't know if you wanna leave it as it is to make your point.

If you need some more information on my research just send me your questions or contact me at Wikimania. I'm going to be there form Thursday to Sunday. Andreas.
