We have many Byzantic leaders in the list. At the same time, there is a very little representation of Southern Asia in this historical period. I propose Rajendra I, one of the most important leaders in Tamil history, who annexed Srivijaya, Kedah, Tambralinga and Pegu and build a big postclassical maritime empire thereby. Replace Labour economics for Work (human activity)

According to the contemprorary definition in the English Wikipedia, Work (human activity) = labour.

I think, the concept of labour or work (human activity) is important enough to be in the list. The discipline about one aspect of labour can't be not more important than the concept of labour itself. There are many disciplinces that focus on the concept of labour, such as physiology of labour, sociology of labour, psychology of labour. Labour is a significant and important area of academic and research study. There is a wide range of approaches and perspectives that can be taken to the study of labour, including historical, sociological, economic, and political perspectives. Industry and Manufacturing

I would like to draw your attention to the fact that Industry and Manufacturing in the English Wikipedia are one and the same article. Other Wikipedias often focus on English when compiling a list, which creates difficulties. Perhaps it is possible to simplify the situation at the level of this list by excluding Industry? English should not be the measure of the list. Manufacturing and Industry are very similar concepts, but not the same, as you can have manufacturing without industry. Theklan (talk) 07:32, 12 March 2024 (UTC)

Crust (geology) or Earth's crust

Before changing to wikidata items instead of enwiki, en:Crust (geology) was listed. But now, d:Q15316 links to en:Earth's crust. Which should be respected? -- FlatLanguage (talk) 23:17, 11 March 2024 (UTC)

Add Russo-Ukrainian War

Some proposals: history of Ukraine (Q210701), as the topic can cover both, or some related to WW2, which is over-represented: 20 July plot (Q105570), Sturmabteilung (Q150793) or Schutzstaffel (Q44687) (because we already have Nazi Party (Q7320)). Theklan (talk) 07:36, 12 March 2024 (UTC)

History of Ukraine is more important because it is more general. Maybe, Orange revolution? I am not sure that Orange revolution is more important than Euromaidan or Russo-Ukrainian War. Reprarina (talk) 11:10, 12 March 2024 (UTC)

We really should globalize the list of films

All 9 movies in the list, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Citizen Kane, Lawrence of Arabia, The Sound of Music, Casablanca, Gone with the Wind, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Star Wars, The Godfather - are American or British. It's not okay for the expanded list of articles every Wikipedia should have. Despite the dominance of US in cinema industry, there are extremely important movie from other countries: Tôkyô monogatari (Japan), 8 1/2 (Italy), Persona (Sweden) which are consistently included in academic lists of the best films of all time. Swap The arts for something else

We should exclude The arts from the list and could replace it with an additonal art style or period for example. Please suggest good alternatives.

The reason to exclude The arts is it’s anglocentrism and the overlap with Art. The diffenrence between the arts un art is hard to differentiate in other languages, if even present at all. The arts is only available in 54 langauge versions, among that many lists of different arts and redirects. In comparisonArt is available in 209 languages. Flaverius (talk) 10:15, 3 June 2024 (UTC)

When we made all the articles for Basque Wikipedia, we had this problem to translate what "The arts" means that is not including in "Art". I agree to change for something else, the doubt is what. Theklan (talk) 07:12, 4 June 2024 (UTC)

Swap Orange revolution for Russo-Ukrainian War

The Russian-Ukrainian conflict has almost as many Wikipedias as the Arab-Israeli conflict included in the 1000 most important articles. Orange revolution is probably not even the most important Ukrainian revolution in 21st century.--Reprarina (talk) 21:52, 27 March 2024 (UTC)

Swap Autism for Autism spectrum

The concept of autism is now much more outdated than the concept of autism spectrum, and although some Wikipedias have both articles, many big Wikipedias (e.g. English, Spanish, Persian, Swedish, Portuguese, Polish) have already made autism a redirect to autism spectrum. Swap Jerome K. Jerome for Ryūnosuke Akutagawa

The English-language writers in the list can be divided into two groups - the first have had a huge cultural impact on the whole world, the second have had such an influence mainly on the English-speaking world. Jerome K. Jerome clearly belongs to the second category, as evidenced by the relatively small number of Wikipedias for an English-language writer which he has, 53.
