Concern about an article
[edit]I saw this article from February and it links to the website of Shared Knowledge Asia (not sure if this is related to Shared Knowledge), and that website contains a lot of nasty stuff on it. I have uBlock Origin installed in my browser and interacting with the website throws a lot of badware warnings and pop-unders. Hopefully this is just a negligence on the part of the website owner and not malice, but I don't think any WMF-controlled website should be linking to such a website and exposing its visitors to potential harm. —seav (talk) 19:18, 24 April 2024 (UTC)
- Hey seav, thanks for reaching out. I've modified the link to point to an Archive.org version of the site as it existed. It looks like maybe the domain expired and was redirected to the spammy stuff you mention.
- Pinging @Lady01v as she is the author of the post and I want her to be aware of the change. Chris Koerner (Wikimedia Foundation) [he/him] (talk) 19:50, 24 April 2024 (UTC)

Typos on one of my translations
[edit]Hi, I translated recently this blog post, which was published, and when re-reading it I saw some typos. Is it possible to fix them since I cannot edit myself? (I’m sorry, I fixed some before publishing but it remained some)
- Gymansium → Gymnasium
- Gymanisium → Gymnasium
- gallerie → galerie
- fenêtes → fenêtres
- Francesco Boffo and Giorgio Torricelli → Francesco Boffo et Giorgio Torricell
Thanks a lot! I will be more careful next time. ~ Seb35 [^_^] 13:08, 20 August 2024 (UTC)
What is the audience of Diff?
[edit]Hello,
During the Wikiconference francophone (in French) at the beginning of November, I will talk about wikipress during a lighting talk, and I would be glad to include some insights about Diff.
My own experience of wikipress is with the French Wiktionary newsletter, that I manage for almost ten years now. I am mostly curious to know how many people read the Diff, and how many people are participating in writing it. What is the lifecycle of articles after their publication? One of my hypothesis is that the readers are mostly from inside the wiki movement the week of publication and from outside of the movement after that. There is two separate readership. And I feel it is a complex equilibrium to provide appealing content for both. But I may be wrong for Diff? I am mostly interested by comments and metrics by the Movement Communications team, but readers are almost welcome to give their insights 🙂 Noé (talk) 10:16, 8 October 2024 (UTC)
