Add topicBest wishes for this project
[edit]I appreciate past development of the Wikimedia Foundation on matters of civility and wish for success in this project.
There are many paths to success and I have confidence that the WMF staff will choose correct paths forward. Blue Rasberry (talk) 12:52, 22 April 2020 (UTC)

Describe Wikipedia community participation in this program, if any
[edit]I am especially interested in hearing and seeing
- evidence of community labor hours of engagement going into these projects
- documentation of community discussions
- direct participation of community volunteers in the development of programs
- Wikimedia Foundation giving recognition and credit to specific Wikimedia community volunteers and community organizations who took leadership roles.
If there is anyone in this team who images that success in these projects is possible without empowering Wikimedia community members to accept top-tier leadership positions of program development in matters of community health and civility, then please speak out and be forward in sharing your philosophy! If the Wikimedia community is not at the forefront of this program then please describe what relationship the WMF will have with the community in matters of conduct. Thanks Blue Rasberry (talk) 12:52, 22 April 2020 (UTC)
Community driven practices : shared ressources
[edit]On the francophone Wikipedia a project page has been set up to reflect on harrassement here https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Projet:Lutte_contre_le_harc%C3%A8lement. Another subpage has been created to document what is perceived as incivility and or toxic comments. The idea is not to punish, but to raise community awareness on what can be perceived as harmful and to allow people who are not at ease in decision spaces reporting abusive comments to express themselves. Focus is on the behavior and haow the comments are perceived, not on the person making the comments. The idea is to document over time these comments to provoke change from within the communities. I wish we could have more time and ressources to dedicate to it.Nattes à chat (talk) 13:52, 8 June 2020 (UTC)
Multiple project harassment of contributors
[edit]Hello, for some background please see this SRGP discussion - in a nutshell a problem was identified by Drmies and others that it is at least very difficult for constructive contributors to seek relief from harassment when the persecutor is making use of many SUL-linked projects within the WMF realm. Our patchwork of global and local policies can hinder efforts to combat this type of abuse. Discussion is welcome for ideas to improve this process. — xaosflux Talk 01:52, 14 July 2020 (UTC)
Elections?
[edit]"In order to encourage greater participation in the functionary selection process, and following the successful rollout of the SecurePoll extension to aid in the Board elections in 2021, the Foundation will explore the usage of the SecurePoll extension to manage the functionary selection process as directed by the 2018 - 2020 Movement Strategy recommendations."
Is this a confirmation that the community will have the opportunity to fill its seats on the Board next year using elections as heretofore?--Wehwalt (talk) 15:57, 4 December 2020 (UTC)
