  • Personal info: I'm on Wikipedia as registered user since September 16th 2004, working gradually to status of administrator and later bureaucrat and checkuser on hr Wikipedia and hr Wikisource (admin & bureaucrat). Recently we in Croatia founded Wikimedia Chapter (founding assembly on January 17th elected me for first President).

Having in mind my future involvement on Chapter, hr Wikimedia projects and my experience, I would gladly help Wikimedia community with my experience gained in years throughout my colleagues and myself built hr Wikipedia to its present status.

Every community have its needs, and I hope that our example can help some other similar communities, because rules and ways in effect on big Wikipedias are not easily adapted to small communities.

  36. strong oppose I have seen how this user acts on local projects, and I am suspicious of his ability to be neutral steward :( He hardly hides the fact that users from Serbia are unwelcome on Croatian language Wikipedia, has done nothing (with his great influence on that project) to stop prosecution of users from Serbia on hr.wiki (known issue), and has in fact himself blocked Serbian users for longer period of time, without proper warnings and for very unclear reasons. And if I would prosecuting users from Serbia they wouldn't vote for me, but sadly for you, truth is not what you are writing (and that can be checked easily on this very page). Moreover, your accusations are both incorrect and distasteful. SpeedyGonsales 21:03, 16 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Do You remember this case? Darko Maksimović was blocked indefinitely, supposedly for trolling (where?). We all clarified that the block was unjust and that was serious violation of admin rights, but You didn't do anything to fix the injustice. --BokicaK 05:44, 17 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Trolls are blocked on any wiki. Actually, we're speaking about well respected contributor with years long experience. If you believe that this user is a troll, then your intolerance towards users from Serbia is the least of your problems.. you seem to have quite creative definition of the term troll. I'm afraid to ask for your definition, since it is probably something along the lines a troll is a user that I find unwelcome, so I block him. Anyway, I suggest you to read some more documentation and help pages, and maybe to run on elections next year when you learn basics of Wikipedia policies :( -- Obradovic Goran 18:34, 17 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The fact that some of the Serbian language Wikipedia contributors voted for you is no argument in your favor. Some of them are completely unaware of your actions on hr.wiki (since they do not visit hr.wiki), and are voting for you along the personal line - it should be noted that you have visited Belgrade on several occasions and met Serbian Wikipedians. On all those meetings, you have been very friendly and open, and that is why some of them have voted for you. Even I thought that you are quite OK guy, and was shocked to see your actions on your home Wikipedia :( Other reason for votes from Serbia is the fact that Wikimedia Serbia is trying hard to bring the relations among the Balkan Wikipedias to a higher level (which is the reason you're being invited to Belgrade every year). I know for a fact that some of those votes for you came only after voters calculated that you will not pass on these elections, so there is no harm in voting for you (and shows good faith of the Serbian community). -- Obradovic Goran 18:34, 17 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, some of us voted for Speedy, but this only proves that the Serbs are not intolerant. However, no one was happy because of those incidents related the Crni Bombarder and Darko. -- Metodicar 18:52, 17 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  38. I'm sorry, it's not clear to me that you have a good idea of what stewards do or what would make a good one. I don't see the sort of experience I'd like to see in candidates, and I don't think your response to challenges on that point helped you.  — Mike.lifeguard | @en.wb 03:39, 19 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
