- Personal info: (English)Hello, thanks for being interested in the steward elections.
I will start with a brief description of my wiki-career. I registered my account in early 2014, after which I started editing and writing articles primarily on the Russian Wikipedia, and in early 2016 I was one of the founders of the graphemes WikiProject. In 2019 I started to actively engage in categorisation on Wikimedia Commons, and thanks to this I got in touch with the English-speaking (or multilingual) community. In late 2019 — early 2020 I gradually became interested in working on the English Wikipedia (mostly neglecting my activity on the Russian-language edition), where I mainly made small ("wikignomish") edits, often using semi-automated tools for bulk edits. In 2021 I became active on Meta-Wiki, where I still regularly check edits to translations; in this context I also became involved in issues of the global Wikimedia community, such as global edit filters, recent changes patrolling and maintenance on small wikis. As a result, I frequently turned to the stewards with requests for global action; see my request history at the following link. My contributions and (local and global) rights on various Wikimedia Foundation projects can be found on the CentralAuth page.
Over the last few years I have been recommended to run for steward by nearly 30 users, including current and former stewards. Last year I was quite busy in real life, but this year I expect to be able to devote more time to my wiki work. As a steward, I plan to perform actions of the kind that I am currently only able to request, as well as respond to such requests from other users. I am not yet familiar with the CheckUser and oversighter tools, but intend to familiarise myself with them over time. - Questions: See Stewards/Elections 2025/Questions#1234qwer1234qwer4

- Personal info: (English)Hello, I am AramilFeraxa. My venture with Wikipedia in earnest began in 2020 on plwiki. I currently serve as an administrator, a checkuser, an abuse filter operator, and a member of the Arbitration Committee. On a daily basis, in addition to combating vandalism, I manage the "Did you know..." section on the main page. I am also an administrator here on Meta-Wiki.
I am actively involved on a global scale. I hold the roles of global renamer, global rollbacker, and, above all, global sysop. I consistently resolve requests on GSR and frequently monitor Global sysops/Speedy delete requests. My cross-wiki contributions can be seen here. Additionally, I regularly report LTAs, proxies, and spambots on SRG. According to the statistics for that page, I am ranked as the 6th top contributor [1].
I aspire to become a steward to enhance my ability to combat vandalism more effectively. I am also eager to support the current stewards; therefore, in addition to SRG, I will focus on SRP, SRGP, and SRM. Due to my field of study and my experience as a checkuser, I am familiar with issues related to networks and IP addresses. However, I acknowledge that I am not perfect, and I would be grateful for guidance from more experienced stewards. Since Einsbor stepped down from stewardship some time ago, we have only one Polish-speaking steward. Considering that plwiki is one of the large wikis, I believe a second one would be a valuable addition :)
My time zone is UTC+1/+2, and I am usually active during the whole day, with a particular focus on evening hours. Thank you for considering my candidacy! AramilFeraxa (Talk) 09:08, 20 January 2025 (UTC) - Questions: See Stewards/Elections 2025/Questions#AramilFeraxa

- Personal info: (English)Hello
First of all thank you for all your valuable contributions to the Wikimedia universe and your interest in the steward elections.
I registered my account back in 2019 and have been contributing regularly ever since. My home wiki is the Dutch Wikipedia, where I’m currently an administrator, checkuser, member of the Dutch speaking VRTS team, and former member of the Arbitration Committee. After becoming an administrator (already quite some time ago, how time flies…) I started getting acquainted with global work and gradually got more involved in recent changes patrolling, spoiling some spammers’ festivities etc. Throughout time, I became a global rollbacker and global sysop, frequently engaging with stewards (through the request pages and IRC).
I have been a member of the Ombuds Commission since February 2023, with my term expiring in February 2025 (I did not apply for a renewal of my term). I have also had the honor of serving as the Commission’s chair for the past year.
Throughout the past months, multiple colleagues have recommended me to run for steward (I would like to thank them for the encouragement and the confidence). I have to admit that last year was quite a busy year for me personally (with work) and that I have also been busy with less visible tasks (Ombuds matters, development…). This year, I will be able to devote more time again to wiki work. If I am elected as a steward, I am mainly planning to assist in the areas I currently work in: countervandalism and anti-spam work, supporting the team in battling cross-wiki and long-term abuse. In addition, I would also like to assist with handling VRTS requests related to (b)locks and suppression requests. I would also be interested to help out with maintaining the relations with the Wikimedia Foundation.
Thank you for your consideration! --Daniuu (talk) 23:10, 31 January 2025 (UTC) - Questions: See Stewards/Elections 2025/Questions#Daniuu

- Personal info: (English)Hello,
I am Konstantina. I am editing as KonstantinaG07, although I have been editing for a brief period of time before my global rename as Konstantina07. I have contributing on Wikimedia since 2016, albeit a big hiatus from 2021 to 2024 due to some major changes in my personal life, and a smaller one this summer due to a health issue I faced. Currently, my main contributions are at Wikidata, where I also serve the community as an admin and oversighter, and cross-wiki countervandalism and anti-abuse work, where I am active with reverting vandalism and submitting request to stewards and global sysops, both on meta and on IRC.
I initially hesitated to submit this request, but after some discussions I believe that my experience as an admin in a multilingual project, as an oversighter and my overall cross-wiki work would enable me to help the community as a steward if elected, so here I am with this request.
Should I be elected, I intend to focus mainly on counter vandalism and spam, which I am mostly active and experienced in, handling SRG requests (and similar requests on IRC), handling steward oversight requests from the relevant queue and IRC,in accordance with the policy, and assisting with SRP and SRGP.
There are of course areas that, while I am familiar with the applicable policies, I am less familiar with their practical aspects. Notably as I have never been a checkuser, I do not have the practical experience there even though I am familiar with the CU policy, and the basics of IPs/networks/user agents. This is an area that I would take it slowly and seek learning with the help of other, more experienced stewards, as LWCU is relevant to some of the areas I intend to focus.
My timezone is UTC+2 (UTC+3 for summer time), and I am mostly active during midday/afternoon/evening. I am available to handle IRC requests when online, and can be pinged on discord when appropriate.
Thank you for the consideration, and I am looking forward to answering any questions you may have. - Questions: See Stewards/Elections 2025/Questions#KonstantinaG07

- Personal info: (English)I'm Leaderboard, and I want to be a steward for 2025. My primary areas of interest would be
- granting permissions on SRP and SRGP - I've been around as a participant on the latter for a while, and would like to grant them myself
- using my technical skills to make things easier and better for other stewards and contributors, and more broadly being on the "backend" of the team including handling off-wiki requests:
- I am the author of Global reminder bot, which runs on nearly 800 wikis and reminds users whose temporary rights are due to expire (especially useful on smaller wikis which tend to be the ones with few/no permanent administrators), supporting MVR in the process. As a steward, I'd like to help resolve issues such as Stewards'_noticeboard/Archives/2024-09#phab:T25310 (to the extent I'm allowed to), and perhaps improve related things such as AAR.
- I'm also an abuse filter helper, which grants me the ability to view (private) filters on the Wikimedia network, and have assisted multiple wikis with their filters over the years.
- As an admin+interfaceadmin on en.wikibooks, I've also helped implement many of the technical requests submitted by users, and have performed relatively advanced tasks such as importupload and history-merging.
- I'm an admin on en.wikinews (and the Wikimania wiki) primarily for anti-vandalism and maintenance, and wrote/used scripts (with my adminbot) to help the project by replacing thousands of templates as they were changing licences (amongst others), and am in the process of writing another (which is expected to take a lot of time, however) for the Albanian Wikipedia (see my talk page).
While I do expect to do other tasks such as locking/blocking global accounts (and have submitted many requests to SRG, though I'm by no means close to some of the other users there), unlike some of the other stewards (and candidates), I do not expect routine anti-vandalism to be my priority as a steward (though I do have the experience as an admin of five wikis, including en.wikibooks, MediaWiki and Meta-Wiki). I am not perfect, and have made mistakes over the years, but I like to think that I've improved and am receptive to feedback. This statement is not exhaustive in terms of what I've done, and feel free to ask any questions you have.
I primarily speak English and Malayalam (though I don't tend to use that on Wikimedia as I've never formally learned the language), and can understand basic Hindi and Dutch. - Questions: See Stewards/Elections 2025/Questions#Leaderboard

- Personal info: (English)Hi everyone! I am Shakil, and my username is MdsShakil. I joined Wikipedia in 2019 and have been contributing regularly since 2020. Bangla Wikipedia is my home wiki, where I serve as an administrator and oversighter. I am also an administrator on Bangla Wikibooks.
Beyond my home wiki, I actively contribute to global Wikimedia projects. I hold global rename, global rollbacker, and global sysop rights, and I have been a member of the Ombuds commission since February 2023, with my term running until February 2025.
As a member of SWMT, I assist in combating cross-wiki vandalism, spam, and LTAs. In my role as a global sysop, I regularly respond to GSR requests and help clean up small projects. I have renamed over 1,600 users, mainly through the global rename queue, SRUC and bnwiki. As Ombuds, I have had the chance to work with colleagues from various projects. We investigate complaints about violations of the Privacy policy, the Access to nonpublic personal data policy, the CheckUser policy, and the Oversight policy. This experience has helped me gain a solid understanding of these policies and the CheckUser and Oversight tools.
If elected as a steward, I plan to focus on SRG, SRGP, and SRP, supporting the team in addressing cross-wiki abuse and long-term abuse effectively. I will also focus on handling appeals and requests related to global blocks and locks through VRT and UTRS, as well as continuing to manage rename requests on SRUC and in the global rename queue.
I live in the UTC+6 time zone and am typically active on Wikipedia most days. I am also available for emergency contacts via IRC, Telegram, and Discord.
Thank you for your consideration! Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. —MdsShakil (talk) 15:37, 16 January 2025 (UTC) - Questions: See Stewards/Elections 2025/Questions#MdsShakil

- Personal info: (English)Hello, my name is Sammy, and I've been editing Wikimedia projects since around 2008.
I was previously a steward between 2018 and 2020, and then again briefly between 2022 and 2023. I am currently a global sysop, as well as a checkuser on the English Wikipedia.
As the result of an English Wikipedia ArbCom case in November 2022, I had both checkuser and oversighter rights removed for cause. In October 2024 I requested the restoration of my CheckUser permissions (via the normal application process) and was successful.
During my 2023 steward confirmation, I failed to mention this incident nor loss of tools. I should have been transparent and upfront about my mistakes, and I apologise for falling short of the high standard of transparency the community expects of stewards.
This incident is a blot on what I otherwise hope can be agreed to be a good record of stewardship — as many kindly pointed out in my successful 2019 confirmation, I committed significant time to reducing SRG's backlog and being responsive on IRC. Although the loss of permissions, and resultant inability to help in the ways I had gotten used to/enjoyed, has significantly impacted my local and global activity, I have maintained some activity helping out as a global sysop (SRGR).
If re-elected, I can again offer the steward team my technical knowledge, previous experience with the tools, familiarity with global policy, experience with combating spam/automated vandals, and a good chunk of my free time. I know I messed up, I am sorry about that, and hope that the community can see fit to give me a second chance to do the work that I enjoy and do well. — TheresNoTime (talk • they/them) 00:27, 15 January 2025 (UTC) - Questions: See Stewards/Elections 2025/Questions#TheresNoTime

- Personal info: (English)Since 2019, I have been an administrator on the Bavarian Wikipedia as well as a global administrator. In the following year, due to my global activities, I also took on the role of Meta-Wiki administrator. In 2024, I was proposed as an administrator on Wikidata.
My main activities in Wikimedia projects include technical tasks, maintenance, cross-project processing of various requests, and combating vandalism and spam. For example, I have performed over 1,000 interface edits, such as .js, .css, or gadget definitions outside of my user namespace. Additionally, I have made over 150,000 deletions and performed many other actions or edits. With the Steward rights, I want to participate even more strongly in the project and more efficiently counteract spambots or long-term disruptors. I have no direct technical experience with Oversight or Checkuser tools, except for temporary accounts. However, I have already created some requests and am familiar with the basics. I am confident that I can also work in this area, as I am willing to continue my education and acquire new skills in collaboration with other experienced Stewards.
My biggest weakness is my English, which is very limited. However, I have so far managed to overcome language problems very well. I am, however, willing to continue to improve my language skills in order to effectively carry out my work as a Steward. Additionally, as a global Sysop, I have already gained experience in deciphering very exotic languages. This is often not easy, but I have learned to deal with unusual scripts and languages. - Questions: See Stewards/Elections 2025/Questions#WikiBayer

- Personal info: (English)Hi! I am a CheckUser and administrator on the Dutch Wikipedia and have been a global rollbacker since 2019 (request). I've been involved in cross-wiki affairs since 2018, with a ~2-year break from late 2020 to early 2023.
My involvement with the global community consists mainly of maintaining the global spam blacklist (history), the global abuse filters, and watching out for cross-wiki abuse. I also devote much of my time to identifying and tackling undisclosed paid editing spam and cross-wiki spamming patterns, often requiring collaboration with stewards for global locking and conducting checkuser investigations.
If elected, I will prioritize handling SRCU, SRG & oversight requests, attempt to tackle some of the LTAs, and assist with open proxy unblock requests. Although I have no direct oversight experience (but am familiar with the policy), I do have a high level of knowledge of using the Checkuser tools and have played a major role with some of the complex investigations on my home wiki.
