- Personal info: Hello everyone! I'm a steward since 2020. In the past year, my work as a Steward heavily revolved around Temporary accounts, which affects patrollers of all kinds, including the stewards and other global functionaries. I am in regular contact with the Trust and Safety Product team (which is behind Temporary accounts), giving them advice from a steward perspective, helping to shape Temporary accounts in a way that doesn't make the work of functionaries unnecessarily complicated. Based on my advice, the team created several new features (and others are in process), such as IP Contributions or Global Contributions. Even though liasing with TSP doesn't result in any steward actions on the wikis, I consider this to be my most impactful project as a Steward in the past year.
In addition to that, I am also working on automating the onboarding of Stewards and checkusers (to decrease the number of manual actions that need to be taken). I'm also available during most of European daytime, responding to requests on IRC or Discord as appropriate.
As always, if you have any questions regarding my work as a steward, please feel free to reach out to me, and I will be happy to answer them.
Disclaimers: I'm a Wikimedia Foundation staff member, for which I work as a Senior Software Engineer within the Growth team. More detailed information can be found at my staff user page. I'm currently serving as the Vice-Chair of the Wikimedia Czech Republic's Board of Trustees.

Comments about Martin Urbanec
[edit]Keep. Responsive and helpful, though I really wish that he didn't process a controversial resignation of CheckUser on his home wiki. Sdrqaz (talk) 14:01, 6 February 2025 (UTC)

Remove I voted remove for Martin Urbanec last year, hoping they'll use that feedback in turn to address controversial actions better. Unfortunately, can't say it's gotten any better, if anything it's gotten worse: the way Martin handled the controversy with their Wikidata adminship and processing a controversial CU on his home wiki, and giving different users different treatment in SE2024 with zero responsibility taken for any of the controversies unfortunately force me to vote a clear remove this year. //shb (t • c) 14:20, 6 February 2025 (UTC)
- For the Wikidata incident, I find a lot more fault in how the other stewards handled it than Martin's own actions there. Sdrqaz (talk) 14:53, 6 February 2025 (UTC)
Remove Sadly, per SHB. Not something I expect from stew team.--A09|(pogovor) 14:29, 6 February 2025 (UTC)

Keep Thank you for your work! --V0lkanic (talk) 14:45, 6 February 2025 (UTC)
Keep. I don't find the cs.wikipedia incident as particularly problematic as it was done in good faith. The Wikidata incident was very weird but (i) as Sdqraz said, it was a collective issue and (ii) a single incident is not enough to vote remove. Leaderboard (talk) 15:35, 6 February 2025 (UTC)
Keep I think it's a little unfair to hold the actions of other stewards against Martin (re:Wikidata) and appreciate him taking on board the feedback by Sdqraz. Best, Barkeep49 (talk) 15:54, 6 February 2025 (UTC)

Keep Much per my logic of last yr. While that incident back then was not what I'd expect from a steward, they're not sufficient justification for removing from my point of view. I didn't like the whole Wikidata inactivity adminship situation but as I also commented there, that was actually nothing to do with him so I don't get what can be held against him from that. --Ferien (talk) 19:48, 6 February 2025 (UTC)
Keep Both of the cases mentioned above seem somewhat ludicrous to me. The Wikidata incident is more related to the pinging steward than Martin himself. As for the cswiki rights removal, I don't see it as controversial at all, and it is in fact specifically allowed. --Jan Myšák (talk) 20:02, 6 February 2025 (UTC)
Keep; I don't see how the WD thing is relevant to him at all, and the checkuser resignation was not a clear-cut "Urbanec should not have used his tools here". Queen of Hearts (talk) 20:08, 6 February 2025 (UTC)
