Personal info: Hi all :) This was my first year as a steward. I've tried, as promised in my application, to be active in all areas of steward competence. I've always tried to do as much as possible, despite some periods of inactivity, above all favoring quality over quantity. I won't talk about statistics or particular numbers (even though I know that mine have been high in most of areas and next year I will hardly be able to replicate this activity), I think those count relatively, the important thing is to always give your best. As always, my focus is on the well-being of all users and communities, and I would like to continue in this role to help and serve where and when needed. There are several areas that are improving and others that can still improve, but I appreciate a lot how the wiki environment remains one of the healthiest on the internet. Since it's always pointed out to me that I tend to talk a lot, I won't go further. I can only promise to try to give my best even if I cannot guarantee an exceptional activity in 2024 due to some stuff in RL. I just want to say thanks for the trust you have had in me, and I hope to deserve it for another year. I await your comments and any criticism you have towards me and and I'll be happy to answer any questions you have (about me, this year, my actions, etc). Informazioni personali: Salve a tutti :) Questo è stato il mio primo anno da steward. Ho provato, come promesso in fase di candidatura, a essere attivo in tutte le aree di competenza agli steward. Ho sempre cercato di fare il più possibile, nonostante alcuni periodi di inattività, privilegiando soprattutto la qualità rispetto alla quantità. Non parlerò di statistiche o numeri particolari (anche se so che i miei sono stati elevati nella maggior parte delle aree e nel prossimo anno difficilmente riuscirò a replicare tale attività), ritengo che contino relativamente, l'importante è dare sempre il massimo. Come sempre, il mio obiettivo è il benessere di tutti gli utenti e delle comunità e vorrei continuare a ricoprire questo ruolo per aiutare e servire dove e quando necessario. Ci sono diverse aree che stanno migliorando e altre che possono ancora migliorare, ma apprezzo molto il fatto che l'ambiente del mondo wiki rimanga uno dei più sani su Internet. Dato che mi viene sempre fatto notare che tendo a parlare molto, non andrò oltre. Posso solo promettere che cercherò di dare il massimo, anche se non posso garantire un'attività eccezionale nel 2024, a causa di alcuni impegni nella vita reale. Ci tengo solo a ringraziarvi per la fiducia che avete avuto in me e spero di meritarla per un altro anno. Neutral There is a huge backlog with steward work, being a strong argument against removal of stewards. OTOH this comment posted on the behalf of third party is absolutely unacceptable. Taylor 49 (talk) 17:50, 6 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Taylor 49: I'm still trying to understand what I've done wrongly or "on behalf of a third part". I always try to be as correct and impartial as possible and to help everyone. When I think you're right I say so, when I think you're not right I say so. I can certainly be wrong, but my opinion doesn't have to be right. If a user asks to be admin to block another user I obviously have some doubts, but if you ask for a CU between two users without sustainable on-wiki evidence (and going back to editing after a long time individually is not) and I perform a check, I'm committing an abuse sanctionable by WMF and the Ombuds commission. Furthermore, if I mentioned old facts, I'm sorry, but it was only to make clear the climate that prevails on that project, given that not everyone is an expert on all projects and I've followed eowikt closely since I became GS (and you know it well how many times I've processed your requests). I apologize if all this has bothered you but I'm always sincere and transparent, above all very frank and direct, and I understand that sometimes this can cause problems! In this case we saw several discussions (sometimes with less than friendly tones) on eowiki and eowikt that moved to the pages dedicated to stewards (2 requests on SRP and 1 on SRCU). Is there a need to continue discussing on the service pages? I don't think so. I respect your comment and will always work to improve myself, but I don't think that in practice I have harmed users or projects, we can all exaggerate when we are directly involved and there is nothing wrong if someone reminds us that it is better to calm down! How come? Indeed Superpes15 was very helpful all the time (during ca 2 years) until RG72 reuested from Superpes15 to attack me and Superpes15 indeed did so!. Subsequently Superpes15 continued the off-topic discussion with the customer RG72 on a service page where I according to Superpes15 must not comment all.
