Personal info: Hello. This is my sixth confirmation. During last year I was active dealing with requests mostly on SRG and various other tasks from time to time (around 2,750 steward action in 2023). In addition, I used my steward access for fighting cross-wiki abuse/vandals/spammers and LTAs. Over the past year, I'm being active on SRG (especially global un/block), GSR, Global AbuseFilter, help on SRUC complicated requests and other tasks. Also, I cooperated with local CUs and sysops to solve cross-wiki issues.
Generally(CentralAuth), I'm bureaucrat, sysop and checkuser on Arabic Wikipedia, and sysop on multiple projects (especially Wikidata, Commons and Meta) -home projects avoided-. Over the years, I have made more than 540K edits on Wikimedia wikis.

Nell'ultimo anno mi sono occupato delle richieste principalmente su SRG e di tanto in tanto di vari altri compiti (circa 2.750 azioni come steward nel 2023). I do have one follow-up question @Alaa: Did you, at any point, add content to the common.js script or otherwise modify any script on the Arabic Wikipedia that resulted in users being unexpectedly logged out from their accounts? To clarify as to why I am asking: I find the use of an enforced logout script (as opposed to something like a custom edit filter) as both reckless (inasumch as it would potentially expose IPs) and an extraordinary overreach by a local wiki (inasmuch as it logged people out of global accounts). The means of conducting the blackout were not well thought-through, and the implementation of that script honestly did jeopardize user privacy. Red-tailed hawk, sorry to say, but it's not that simple, because I tried to fix/remove the script per this request. I helped in my capacity as arwiki interface administrator. @Sohom Datta: The oversight came only after the revdels, by a different user, if I'm understanding them correctly. There was a log of the revdels at [1] which can be confirmed by looking at the internet archive or archive.today, but the log itself has since been revdel'd. Weak keep The user is not the one who first installed the mass-logout script, and I frankly can't hold the rest against them. They've been transparent here about their role, and they are an active Steward. Keep I'd rather keep the neutrality and logout script issues separate from Alaa's conduct as a steward - the latter is what we're focusing on and I can't find any issues there. The other issues are relevant to the ar.wiki community as a whole, and it would be inappropriate for that to effect Alaa (after all, it's not like he decides them per se). Remove I am sorry, but I have often encountered suspicious activity by him on the Arabic Wikipedia. For example, the site was recently blocked from editing for 24 hours and disconnected all users, which it took part in (and hiding any username that was related to the matter, against the policy). Even if the action was as an arwiki sysop, does that allow you to hide something from the public eye for no reason?
In addition, the Arabic Wikipedia has not yet returned the politically oriented logo to the old logo (it can be seen that the Hebrew Wikipedia did not do similar things at all, and did not publish support for the State of Israel). This violates the NPOV rules, and as a Steward who is very active on Arabic Wikipedia I would expect you to address this serious offense. Can you explain why you didn't do that? Question: The matters of the script / blackout / banner, etc. on ArWiki bothers me. But, I would prefer not to be drawn into this case, and therefore, to get an honest and deliberately non-specific answer from you: What are the most essential aspects in which being a stewards forces you to be especially careful, even with non-steward actions? I don't care what done in the past until now, only to know your exhaustive principled point of view, and to see if it can confirm what is essential, according to my view, to a steward.
