Rationale[edit]

POSSUM chowg (talk · contribs · global contribs · page moves · user creation · block log) (maybe has some sock(or meat)puppets that I don't know before) has completed their "famous history records" of NOTHERE for contributing on several wikis:

  1. Per Commons: Uploaded several troll files of bad-quality Selfies from foreign wikis (i.e. not under WMF's umbrella), then claim all of em as "own works", making themselves "didn't do copyvios", and posing nonsense, gibberish and absurd inputs to Commons Village Pumps (don't believe it? Diffs: 884580834, 884580901, 884580977, 884581035, 884584397, 884584431 and 884587356)
  2. Per enwiki: Created several nonsense, gibberish and absurd userpages of other users (regareless of good or not) with random templates (I didn't hear which set of templates this user inserted), just because their userpages are "redlinks"
  3. Threatened peoples to believe the Chinook Jargon Wikipedia test on Incubator as "featured wikis", with just "hey I have helps from Jon Gua (or others)" and don't mind on quality of the articles they created, and, per this archive, threatened langcom to approve it without any fair reasons
  4. When peoples warned this user to not do so again and again, the only things they did are ,as per my Wikidata talk page and Robert McClenon's, threatening users who warned to not warn again, without any apologizations to their previous behaviors, and only randomly pointing other users as "absurd" by their own brains, when peoples asked for their reasons, they just and only just let peoples read their Uncyclopedia thread, which I don't love to read as some words are inappropriate under GDPR (or related database law of other countries)

From view of the above problems, this user should be identified globally (i.e. on any MediaWiki sites, include Uncyclopedia) as NOTHERE, this user doesn't give me any good faces for good using wikis. --Liuxinyu970226 (talk) 09:45, 21 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Response from POSSUM chowg[edit]

1. Troll files? I never wanted to troll anyone using files. And those weren't selfies. I am extremely worried about exposing my face online, even my facebook profile pic is just an opossum.
2. The "nonsense gibberish pages" (MoccaSeries) were copied from an Uncyclopedia page series called "O GREAT MOKKÁÁWŜEN". Uncyclopedia editors will understand the references. The reason that the pages were added to my Wikipedia userpages was because an Uncyclopedia mod who didn't understand the pages requested for the pages' deletion, and I wanted to preserve them. The Uncyclopedia deletion poll was ended in just three hours and it was decided that the pages would be kept. That does mean that the Wikipedia port is no longer needed, however, and I have no problem with their deletion off Wikipedia.
3. I never "threatened" the langcom to get Wp/chn approved, I only asked if it COULD be. Threatening means that I would punish the langcom if wp/chn was not approve. I myself am not sure if the CJ wikipedia is ready, and I myself know for sure that it needs improvement, at least a little.
4. Often times, I wasn't warned, I would be indefinitely banned without warning. When I tried to ask questions about blocks, I would often not be given a legitimate answer, rather the people would just call me a troll, spammer, vandal, etc, or I would receive shamelessly biased and poorly-informed overviews of what I had done on the wikis where I edit. Someone even once claimed that I was a sock-puppet of THE Willy on Wheels, with apparently no evidence (I spent a good amount of time searching for reasoning behind this claim, but I was unable to find it.)

Maybe there really is a reason why I should be blocked, but I haven't got one. POSSUM chowg (talk) 12:04, 21 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

This seems very premature; both of the indef blocks are recent, user is editing in good faith on incubator, at least half of the reasons in the ban justification seem to be incorrect (I agree that the user was not demanding langcom do anything, for example). I agree that this seems like an immature user and perhaps a lock is in order, but this does not rise to the level of what bans should be for. Recommend that this be withdrawn by the creator or speedily closed. – Ajraddatz (talk) 21:35, 21 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
