Not ending before 1 7 October 2020 10:51 (UTC) (extended by MarcoAurelio per request from Krd)
Krdbot does automated edits already at Template:Access to nonpublic personal data policy signed and Steward requests/Permissions with a low rate that perhaps didn't warrant a bot flag. I'm now intending to create additional scripts to support steward related work, e.g. a check for Global sysops/Requests if the listed requests affect wikis opted out of global sysops. As edit rate may increase, I'd like to request a bot flag. --Krd 10:51, 24 September 2020 (UTC)
- Elaborating per billinghurst's question below: I have tried to code a check for Global sysops/Requests that will strike requests not eligible to fulfilled by GS, like opted-out wiki or active local admins. This is currently waiting for real test cases and final tweaking. It may happen that additional related checks will arise in that area; the two other things I actually had in mind turned out to be better placed on private wikis. If edit rate stays low, it could of course be a valid decision to continue without bot flag. --Krd 08:51, 26 September 2020 (UTC)
- I have to admit that this request may have been posted rashly, and it appears there does no increased edit rate arise at the moment. Although it could not make any harm to get the account flagged, I'd also be happy to withdraw the request for the moment and reactivate it later when a real need can be proven. --Krd 18:55, 7 October 2020 (UTC)
- Support Krdbot has certain rights for now. Krd says some goals above. It would be better to authorize Krdbot as a bot. A trusted user and has a trusted bot. --Uncitoyentalk 12:18, 24 September 2020 (UTC)

- Support, per above. Sgd. —Hasley 14:37, 24 September 2020 (UTC)
- Question: @Krd: what sort of tasks? Some bot tasks are best visible, and others are fine "(less |in)visible", maintenance for example. I am not certain that we can assess the required access without knowledge of the types of tasks. Can you please some sort of further explanation. Thanks. — billinghurst sDrewth 14:56, 24 September 2020 (UTC)
- Following on this, having the bot permission enabled you to assert the bot flag on edits to hide them from recent changes/watchlists - do you have examples of the edits that should be hidden from these pages? Will you continue start asserting the revision bot flag on the edits that are already occurring? — xaosflux Talk 16:30, 24 September 2020 (UTC)
- I think the existing edits are nothing that someone usually would like to watch, so it makes sense to bot-flag them. If different opinions arise, this of course can be set as requested. --Krd 16:48, 24 September 2020 (UTC)
- If I were a steward, I would be interested in seeing them, as they indicate whether requests for CU and OS access can go ahead, no? --MF-W 13:38, 30 September 2020 (UTC)
- I agree that we can wait what it will look like. Sadly I'm behind schedule with coding, please give me another week. --Krd 14:58, 30 September 2020 (UTC)

- Support I trust that this will be used appropriately, question above was just to make sure the options were being considered so that bot flagged revisions didn't get inadvertently made. — xaosflux Talk 13:52, 1 October 2020 (UTC)

- Hello Krd. There's certainly consensus to grant your bot the flag, but you mentioned above that we give you one more week. Being past that time now, do you still need more time or can we proceed? Thanks. —MarcoAurelio (talk) 21:36, 9 October 2020 (UTC)
- Please see my comment in Special:Diff/20520877 above. I'm happy with any decision, I could make some use of the flag, but it turned out to be not really required and it currently also can get along without it. --Krd 06:56, 10 October 2020 (UTC)
I'll mark this as not done / withdrawn. --MF-W 10:08, 15 October 2020 (UTC)
