Hi all, I'd like to nominate Steinsplitter for adminship. He is a trusted contributer, an admin on commons, and has a good common sense. He pokes me over IRC quite frequently for deletions, blocking etc, and i think he will use the tools well. He has more than 4000 edits on meta, and is very knowledgeable. I would like Steinsplitter to accept this Nomination. Matanya (talk) 06:03, 7 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- Thanks for your kind words. I accept the nomination. --Steinsplitter (talk) 06:40, 7 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

- Support - excellent admin on commons as well, knows his way around the mediawiki software as well as so could be very useful here..--Stemoc 07:19, 7 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

- Oppose Rather a personal one here. Steinsplitters attitude is extremely poor and the way he interacts from what I have seen is also inappropriate. Notably, he continuously looks for trouble so he can assist in creating more like warring over Bugzilla (with me I'll add) about whether an extension software change need community consensus, the superprotect incident was met with disgraceful attitudes to people and staff, I've also seen the 'you disagree with me so you're wrong now fuck off' type response to people who oppose him. In short, I don't like his attitude nor do I trust him. John F. Lewis (talk) 14:43, 7 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- I believe that he never uses the y F-word. So unless you have a link to prove he did use the F-word it would be nice to withdraw this part of your statement. Natuur12 (talk) 15:00, 7 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- Modified to make the intent more obvious. John F. Lewis (talk) 15:09, 7 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

- Oppose I don't like his attitude and how he is communicating. When there was an Office Hour in IRC about Structured Data, other users tried to discuss about structured data and he was all the time like: "don't do anything for Commons if we have no agreement in RFC". Also, as John F. Lewis mentioned, he has warred on Bugzilla, sometimes I think he just wants to disagree with WMF. Another case, on Commons when I supported Odder's removal of bureaucratship he immediately marked some of my uploaded pictures for deletion. I don't like this kind of action from an admin. Regards, --Stryn (talk) 15:30, 7 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- Then i withdraw this. John: Please try to stick on the exact truth. Stryn: Please don't upload copyright violations on commons. Thanks all other for the trust. --Steinsplitter (talk) 15:47, 7 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
