Hi all, today I am here to nominate Jianhui67 for adminship. He has been active in meta for a very long time; and has had bits in multi-lingual projects like commons and wikidata for a little over a decade. His last RFA failed in 2015 due to lack of general experience, but imo that concern has long been addressed and this is a long overdue. I see him active in patrolling RC and having these bits is definitely going to be a help for him. BRPever, thank you for this nomination and I hereby accept it. If I were to be elected, I plan to be active in the field of anti-spam/vandalism/LTA. Over the past few weeks, I have witnessed the amount of spam, vandalism and LTA increasing, and I think I can play a part in eradicating them. Most importantly, whenever I am in doubt, I will clarify with my wiki-colleagues before taking action, and I do not plan to step into arenas which I am not familiar with. Strong oppose, sorry, Jianhui67. I am super concerned about the activity level. No doubt, Jianhui67 is trusted to get the flag, but I don't see enough activity. Staying for over a decade on Meta-Wiki, Jianhui67 has so far 3,335 edits only. I fear Jianhui67 will hardly use the rights like on the other projects. Also, we have enough of admins/stewards working in the same areas. I think we don't need a one at this moment any further without any specializations. Jianhui67 don't have to offer much as we already have Zh language native colleagues. Apologies, if I am being too harsh. I would be glad to support this within the next 3 months with higher activity. I don't see how this can be a big concern as we don't have a limit on how many users can be admin; and meta does have administrator review for inactivity. And Jianhui67 not using rights on other projects is simply not true. He has been active as both commons and wikidata admin for years in volunteer capacity. It's not a short duration of service; and a stable logs throughout these years shows his dedication for the projects. He frequently has to make requests when he could do things much efficiently with the bits. I think this demonstrates enough need in the area where tools are needed. Saying you fear him not using rights as in the other projects is indeed a very harsh assessment of someone who has been active for all these years. BRP^ever 04:27, 14 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

You are aware that 3k edits on Meta-Wiki is perfectly normal, right? And on Meta-Wiki a higher edit count typically indicates a user is more active at SRG or GSR, two areas of Meta where sysops least get involved in. Out of all the things you could nitpick on, this one is extremely pedantic. Support - Tulsi's oppose is not reasonable in my opinion; edit count isn't a big deal especially in a project like Meta and there is no expectation that a new member of the team needs to be able to contribute something that existing users don't.
