Hello. I'm Hosiryuhosi. I'd like to request a sysop flag for fighting a spam and vandalism on here. I'm currently global rollbacker and global sysop. and sysop and bureaucrat of Japanese Wikipedia. In meta, I did reverting some vandalism edits. And few-translations. if I had a sysop flag here, I'll delete/block spam and vandalism. Thanks.--Hosiryuhosi (talk) 18:50, 11 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- Support I've seen you in action, I think you have enough experience, so naturally you have my support. I'm aware that you have less than 500 edits on Meta, but IMO it really isn't so important :) micki 21:43, 11 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

- Weak oppose. Only 7 deletion taggings, 5 of which were done in 2010, and the two remaining in 2012 (October & September). Personally, I expect an admin to have more activity than this. Your anti-vandalism and translation work is appreciated, but, apart from the eventual blocks, this can mainly be done without the admin bit. I don't doubt that you are trusted, but I think we do need a bit more than trust for adminship. Sorry, Savhñ 15:47, 12 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- Weak oppose and agreeing with Savh. Tools are for folk who show a need for them to me. --Herby talk thyme 16:06, 12 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- Oppose, doesn't need the tools for requested areas. It is a shame that we only are starting to apply this standard now, but we might as well start somewhere. Ajraddatz (Talk) 16:16, 12 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- Support. "No need for the tools" isn't an argument I think has much merit here. If he uses them, he needed them. If he doesn't use them, they'll go away in an inactivity cycle. Either way, there's nothing to lose by granting them to this sort of user who knows what they are doing. Courcelles 18:18, 12 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- Neutral per Savh, Herby and Ajraddatz, but not enough for me to oppose. Trijnsteltalk 23:10, 12 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

- Neutral. It is not a matter of needing the tool or not. I just can't be sure that you will know what to do if you don't have enough participation. You will have to delete pages and all, but how can I know you will know when to delete with this small number of deletion requests? If somebody asks lots of deletions and at least most of them right, we can say they know what to do. However, with no request... what can I say?—Teles «Talk to me ˱@ L C S˲» 07:59, 14 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- Support; I work on the ethos that there can never be too many trusted people for maintenance purposes. The bigger the pool of resources the better. I trust Hosiryuhosi, and he won't break anything; so that is all that matters for me. PeterSymonds (talk) 10:10, 14 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

- Same as Herby. I have to add that I understand the en-1, but I've been unable to find any project, or project/article/user talk contribution, so I think it's impossible to judge his interaction with the users and the community. Just not enough to elect him, but we'll surely be able to judge differently in a few months/hundreds edits. --Nemo 22:51, 14 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- Support - Given that it is meta, the only requirements when it comes to adminship as far as I am concerned is trust and sufficient knowledge of the tools. Hosiryuhosi meets both. Tiptoety talk 03:20, 15 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- Support trusted and helpful for Hosiryuhosi to have admin tools. Aude (talk) 16:16, 15 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- Support Per all above. –BruTe talk 15:56, 19 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
There is consensus in favour of promoting Hosiryuhosi to adminship, closing as a successful request for adminship. Thehelpfulone 20:22, 19 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
