6th Meetup of Punjabi Wikipedia community in Patiala.

Discussions regarding future of Punjabi Wikimedians. (We are planning of setting up a permanent local space.)
Selecting an appropriate delegate for Wikimedia Conference 2016.
Encouraging and helping editors in filling Wikimania 2016 applications.
Discussions related to the quality of Punjabi Wikipedia.
Discussions about Punjabi Wiktionary, Punjabi Wikibooks, Punjabi Wikisource etc.
Discussions regarding Wikipedia 15 celebration and Kotkapura Workshop.

It was discussed that there is a possibility of creating a community space at Patiala. All the participants agreed that it can be really useful.
All the participants were told to fill their Wikimania 2016 scholarship applications. They were also told some guidelines so they can fill their applications in a better way.
It was also discussed that Punjabi Wikimedians need a separate mailing list for announcements to all the members.
Kotkapura Worshop - We discussed the future workshop we are planning in Kotkapura for decentralization of Wikipedia.
Quality Issues - We will organize to improve stub articles related to villages of Punjab.
Saanjh is an upcoming online event for collaborating between both the Punjabi and Western Punjabi Wikipedia Communities.
Manavpreet Proposed that we can celebrate Wikipedia 15 by organizing a workshop at a school in Sangrur.

One of the agenda of the meetup was to select an appropriate candidate for Wikimedia Conference 2016 out of the 4 nominated candidates.

8 participants supported Parveer Grewal as the official delegate from Punjabi Wikimedians. He has been helping in organizing Punjabi Wikipedia Article Writing Competition, Punjabi Wikipedia 13th Anniversary Edit-a-thon and Punjabi Wiki Workshop, Chandigarh. He has also played an important role in getting Punjabi Wikimedians recognized as an official Wikimedia affiliate.
One of the nominated candidate gave his opinion that Punjabi Wikimedians should focus on Non-Patiala candidates and select them to represent Punjabi Wikimedians at Wikimedia Conference and 2 participants endorsed him as well. While the other participants believed that the Parveer Grewal is still a better candidate if we look at the guidelines to select the appropriate candidate.
Other members of Punjabi Wikimedians are invited to give their opinions as well.
