Request to remove FAQ section: 'How do I unsubscribe?'

The Language team would like to request a removal of the second FAQ 'How do I unsubscribe?' to be in line with the new implementation of Special:TranslatorSignup here: T347029. This FAQ section is no longer needed after simplifying the process. Wangombe-g (talk) 08:09, 22 November 2023 (UTC)

@Billinghurst: Why did you mark the request as answered without fulfilling the request? And re. "They should know how to contact the local administrators to make such a request.", the procedure @Wangombe-g followed by posting a request here with {{editprotected}} is exactly the right one. @Xaosflux: When I added that FAQ item back in 2012, the way to unsubscribe was not very obvious – the only way was to just untick all notification options, like the FAQ item says. Now that there is a prominent unsubscribe button, I don't think the FAQ item for unsubscribing is necessary at all. Just my 2 cents. Jon Harald Søby (talk) 14:56, 27 November 2023 (UTC)
