What problem does this solve?

It can be hard to reach users sometimes only through the banner system or emails.

What is the solution?

MassMessage is a tool that allows you to post to talk pages. Each Wikimedia project has a mass message tool, and Meta has Global Mass Message, where you can post to talk pages across all Wikimedia projects. A few considerations:

• You can randomly sample a list of users using SQL or Quarry Tool
• When you post to talk pages, always include a link to the mass message, so that users can remove themselves from future reminders
