Hello, Iopensa: Thank you for this detailed and thoughtful request; we are very pleased to fund your participation in WikiSym 2013. We will fund the request fully with the exception of the per diem rates requested.

According the US Department of State website, which we recommend participation support requestors use for budgeting purposes, the daily rate for meals and incidentals in Hong Kong is 75% of this would be For three full days this would total which is about 237 EUR by today's rates. That's the maximum allowance we will fund for per diem for a three-day conference.

Therefore, we'll fund up to 883.47 EUR for this request. We'll be in touch shortly to arrange the details and we look forward to your successful participation.

Great news! Thank you.

I used the US Department State website as recommended for the daily rates. I obviously made a mistake. I thought the maximum per diem rate of 497 $ was the per diem for meals and incidentals expenses and I reduced the rate at more than 75% because it seemed to me exceeding my needs. I didn't get that M & IE rate was what I was looking for. yes, I should have google it but M & IE didn't ring any bell. If you are ok with it I can correct the application according to the M & IE rate so it can be considered full funded. It makes sense since you are really taking care of all the costs and I am very happy with it. please let me know and thank you. --Iopensa (talk) 06:13, 12 June 2013 (UTC)
