Hi Alangi Derick, and thanks for your comprehensive report on your workshop. I'm really impressed with the amount of reflection and detail you've put into this report, so thank you for being thoughtful in responding to these questions. Here are my questions and comments:

• You've done a great job of orienting developers to our movement in this workshop. I think the format of having a session just to address some fundamental questions about our movement (e.g. What is the difference between Wikipedia / Wikimedia / Wikimedia Foundation) is incredibly important so that participants all have a shared understanding and can better communicate with each other. Furthermore, orienting them to Phabricator in the same workshop and getting them setup with accounts is a good start in building a community of developers. How do you plan to follow up with these participants?
• Very glad to hear that your divide-and-rule strategy worked well, and that you plan on using it in the future. What were the different sub-tasks that you focused on across your teams?
• Both of the solutions you've suggested on requesting the account creator permission and requesting that participants create accounts ahead of time are sensible. Be sure to review Learning patterns/Six-account limit to review some additional ideas in dealing with this problem.
• In terms of your questions around attendance, I have a few suggestions:
  • Based on the size of the room / available seating or other resources, you can create a limit the number of registered participants you are willing to accept. Furthermore, it can be useful to run multiple, smaller workshops with lower registration limits; there's less concern around unregistered participants when individual workshops are smaller.
  • For participants who are not registered but come to the event anyway, there are a few possibilities. One option, if you want to accommodate them, is to plan for them ahead of time by estimating how many unregistered participants might go based on prior events.
• Thank you for documenting and explaining your additional expenses. I'll be following up by e-mail regarding your overspend expenses, so please be sure to review your e-mail when you are able.

Hello I JethroBT (WMF), below are the answers to the questions;

1. We are currently doing post-event follow up with the developers from time to time and I planned 3 times a week via email and IRC. You can see the ticket here on phabricator: Post-Event Follow-Up. The idea here is that we reach out to the developers, answer their questions and give them more resources and also make sure they are making progress and fixing MediaWiki as time progresses. We have also subscribed them to our mailing list and we will be getting in touch with them here.
2. The various sub-tasks were; Logistics, Internet provision, Ushers, Event coordination, Liaison with developers (via email and calls), documentation, food & snacks provision.
