Hi Mehman97. Thank you and the team for all your efforts organizing WLM in Georgia! We have a few questions before we can move forward with the request.

1. You write, "In Georgian Wikipedia there are many articles about monuments without a single illustration." Do you have an statistics on how many articles about monuments do not have a photo or how many monuments are already covered in Commons?
2. In terms of getting photos used in articles, you write that "Volunteers will add uploaded images to respective articles in Wikimedia projects during and after the contest." Will the team do any specific activities or communication to encourage volunteers to integrate photos? For example, an in-person or online editathon, a prize or special recognition for using images, etc.?
3. Who will the 20 t-shirts be given to?
4. What is the extra 50 GEL in the grand total of the budget?
5. Unforeseen expenses should be up to 10% of the total budget.

Hi Alex, thanks for the message. I'll try to explain all the questions specifically.

1. Unfortunately there is no exact statistical data of skill, but judging by the list of monuments prepared for the contest, this number is approximately more than 300. The problem is that most of the monuments that are on the lists are in remote and inaccessible areas of the country, and unfortunately there is no local population in these areas who would have photographed these monuments, so we motivate participants to join us and take pictures of these places. Last year, during the contest, more than 6,000 photos were uploaded, but most of them were those already in commons, some of them we use in Wikipedia (those with good quality, there are more than 150 new).
2. Top 10 contributors (by number of photographs) will be rewarded with WLM T-shirt. So we will encourage them to add their photos to the articles and also after the end of the contest, we will check the photos of the uploading during the contest and if there are quality photos, we will add them to the articles.
3. As he said: out of 20 T-shirts 10 are designed for those who upload the most photos during the contest, 5 are calculated for the jury members and the remaining 5 are for those volunteers who helped us during the competition (members of the organizing committee and others).
4. Extra cash in the amount of $50 is designed for online advertising on Facebook. (see www.facebook.com/WLM.Georgia)
5. I edited and brought these costs into line with the rules.

Hi Mehman97. Thank you for the quick and thorough reply. It will be great to make it easy for participants to identify which monuments are not already in Commons as well as which do not have articles or need photos added. Making these kind of lists easy for participants to access is very helpful! Here are some additional tips for organizing a successful photo contest. The question about the extra $50 was the added amount to the grand total, not for the Facebook adds. Can you please clarify what that is for. Hi Alex, first of all thanks for supporting our competition, we are very happy for the promotion of the common cause. As for $ 50, this is intended for enrollment in facebook, where we give advertising, which is designed to attract new volunteers.
